How you'll control the HD-DVD player from the Xbox360 Dashboard

In yesterdays show, I mentioned that I’d post photos of the Xbox 360 HD-DVD Dashboard interface and how you’ll be able to control two drives. Those images are now posted over at the Gamerscore blog Note: these are not final and subject to change.

Good and simple idea for dashboard control of the HD-DVD drive. Seems like a quick and easy way to be able to eject and close the drives and see what's in each disc drive.

I also wonder one thing about the HD-DVD drive. Will it read CDs or DVDs? If so, will it be able to show the data on the dashboard like if the disc was in the 360's DVD drive? Because if it can, people could then burn their music collection to a DVD and put it in the HD-DVD drive and listen to their music from the disc while playing a game. That would be a extra, small but helpful feature that would add to the 360's media capabilities.

@ Major, What about your idea of putting an audio disc in the HD-DVD player and listen to soundtracks while playing an Xbox 360 game in the normal DVD drive..Are they gonna look into that? Thanks

I have got to agree with this comment "Also I really hope that Larry's idea of putting an audio CD / DVD in the HDDVD player and listen to it while playing a Xbox 360 game using the normal DVD9 drive comes to live..Did you guys already looked into that? " That along with... well copying songs from media players (my ipod can stream to the 360 but not copy from the ipod wtf there not protected songs... but cd's work?) also why no way to copy videos to my 360 still :(

Thanks Major ;) Looks pretty cool. I have a question about the HD DVD drive though, will you be able to have an Xbox 360 game in there? I mean if you could have 1 game in your DVD drive and 1 in the 360 drive you could switch between games without opening the tray and stuff. I e-mailed you asking this to.
