I am sorry, each day I find a new revelation that makes me want to sell my 360, and i think if when Dead Rising eventually comes out here, and there becomes some rip off package, then im selling up. I would rather be ripped off by PS3, at least they are doing it upfront rather than doing it a year down the line.

This is BS. I am a huge Chrome Hounds fan, but this is absurd. Im all for new content, and I understand that content creation costs money.

But $10+ for a few new guns and parts? More than ten dollars for that? That is just not reasonable. This kind of content is dirt cheap to make, and is far from justifying that atrocious price tag.

Once again, the price point is way off, and a lot of people are going to be mad about this. Ghost Recon map pack all over again.

This content should have been priced at 40 points a part. Micro transactions, Microsoft. MICROtransactions.

Yo! I havnt complained ONCE about any of the prices for content... but SURELY this is a pi55 take! I even paid for Horse Armour AND the Recon Pack which most ppl thought to be too pricey! I love Chromehounds to bits... its my favorite game by a mile (Just check out my 360voice for proof!), but 100 points for EACH!? Surely whoever put that up on marketplace has made a mistake!? Major, do you have any points of view on this as they are clearly just reworks of stats rather than brand new models and things! Do the prices of content go down on the marketplace ever? Just if so, im CERTAINLY going to wait. And before anyone says "Quit complaining, we havnt TOLD you to buy it". Problem is, if it was like the content that came out before, its going to make the game a little unbalanced. Any news of the patch that was promised too, or has that come with the content? Andy B

Is there any way of reviewing what the actual parts will be before purchasing them?

Cause I understand and ... vaguely accept the 100 point cost (though I am disgruntled on principle) but I don't want to "waste" 100 points (= £0.85 = $1.60) on a piece of crap weapon that won't really do anything for me.

Looks like were going to have the "HAVE" and "HAVE NOTS" in gaming now!

If you've got lots off money to waste you can buy yourself an advantage.

I was under the impression the developer and/or the publisher set the price on these things, not Microsoft?<br>

100 points each may be seen as more reasonable if they were also offered as an all-in-one package for a discount on the individual price? Given that that's 2x500 point (the minimum spend) purchases, it does seem a bit steep.

Are these online only then or can they be used offline?

Yeah, Publisher. It's the Japanese way, I guess. And the French way, Canadian way, and American way, in approximately that order. They had said that three retail games had made $1 mil in downloadable content sales... I'm thinking about that, and I have to assume that they're GRAW, Oblivion, and Call of Duty 2 (also not coincidentally three of the top sellers (if not THE top sellers) on the system). It would take about 83,300 players purchasing all ten available parts to generate $1 mil in sales. That's a lot of mooks (probably about half the owners of the game).

The world is driven by market forces. Sometimes that can lead to things you don't like happening even though you don't want them to. It's a simple explanation but if the majority (or even a small minority) are prepared to pay then publishers will keep providing them with content. If the demand is there (or if it's created) someone will meet it. So vote with your wallets. Look at the Outfit - championed by a small minority but snubbed by everyone else. You can't release pay for play content if no one will buy it. Ergo it becomes free. We are in a pivotal period in gaming history. Paid for content only becomes inevitable if people buy it. And remember, content that is costing you 100 points today will be 1000 points tomorrow (don't believe me? Look at every household bill or item on your shopping list - chances are it's increased in price over the last few years). God I feel like a doom monger today!

well, i was getting kinda bored with chromehounds... new weapons would've spiced it up a bit. thing is, i'm not getting dragged into paying this much for weapons... where does it end? i mean, once you've bought these you will feel more obliged to keep up with it when they release the next pack... once they have you by the balls you'll find yourself paying a fortune for this stuff....

join me... bail out now and trade the game in before it gets out of hand.

Why couldn't they have released a combo package at a discount like the car packs for PGR3??? There's no way in hell I'm going to pay 100 points per part...wait, if I buy the parts, does it allow me to buy more than just one like the free parts that were offered earlier?
