Not sure about you, but the folks over at StarWars.com decided to analyze, frame-by-frame, the 1980 release of 'The Empire Strikes Back' with the 2004 DVD release. What do you come up with? 151 differences, complete with screen shots of each version and an short explanation of the difference in the two shots. Wow.Looks like I need to add a 'Geeky' tag posts like this.

Holy wow! That's crazy.
R.I.P. Steve Irwin
C'mon Major, stop picking on the Star Wars people, you Klingon-knowing Trekkie!
That is.... how do i phrase this... pathetic... wait no let me refrase that.... this is pathetic
HAHA LOOK AT THE SIXTH ONE!!! GLITCH!!!!
Everything looks more, uh, blue, I guess that's an improvement.
and the 8th haha
It must be nice not having a job.
You never know, they could have written an algorithm that compared each individual frame between the 2 movies and flagged the ones that were different for comparison.
Either that or there's a hell of a lot of people at StarWars.com with too much free time.
In response to your question Major, when i used to have some spare time, i'd play Xbox 360 (GRAW-etc). Now that i don't really play that much anymore, i use my spare time to go clubbing/drinking with friends or watching the latest Stargate (SG-1 & SGA) and Prison Break eps.
RIP Steve Irwin, you will be missed.
Get a life already.
What to do when you need money
Somehow i don't think those guys who bought the VHS copy back in the 80s were thinking "Oh, screw it. The DVD will be out in 24 years. It's gonna be a whole lot better so i'll just wait for 2 or so decades."
If we applied that reasoning today, no one would buy movies. They'd just be waiting for the bigger and better version to come out in a few years time.
As for me? I'm a fan of the Telesyncs and KVCDs out there. It may not be the best quality but it sure does help me weed out the crappy movies (MI:3) from the ones i wanna actually go and see in the cinema (Pirates of the Caribbean)
They actualy coming out on dvd in better quality but the same way they where back at the original release!
So without the edited scenes!
