Name: College Hoops 2K7Price: 400 PointsAvailable in: Canada, Mexico and the U.S.Dash Details: Download this powerful replay editor and construct your own highlight reels!
A highlight real editor? Possibly the weirdest d/l content yet.
And who is going to pay $5 for this?
I think this is a very creative idea for DLC. It definitely breaks the mold, which is what content creators will have to do. This is an example of content that should add value (at a seemingly reasonable price-point) to the gameplay and it certainly seems to put the gamer in control of the experience. Now, I don't have this game, and I'm not very likely to buy it (maybe rent it)...but if more content like this starts coming out for sports games I'll definitely be checking it out!
This is certainly something quite a few people will pay for. Lots of people play sports games. This is actually added content too, not just some pictures or more money in game.
The game isn't out til 11/20 though.
Is it really 108k ?
If yes, well, the editor was already on the disk and this makes me sick...
I'm sick of developpers doing this... if its on the disk, it should be FREE to unlock.
but if it's not 108k.. well, sorry for posting this spam... ;)
lol, this game isn't even out yet.
Nope, this time the file IS 108.XX K in size, which is DEFINATELY an unlocker file.
The other reel maker (NBA 2k7) I believe you ACTUALLY had to download after PAYING the 400 points for it. It was like 4 megs or so I believe.
Why Next-Spin sucks reason #342 (wink to my fellow gamer Nino there).
Like I said before about this, at least it is a different feature. But being on the disk this time is just insulting.
Will I even make Halo 3...
Sweet, now we can pay MORE MONEY for stuff we've ALREADY PAID FOR! Yay! GO Marketplace!
Major, is there a way to confirm that we are not paying to unlock content on the game disc that would otherwise not be unlockable? If you can't discuss it with us, then at least mention it to your team. If a company stores something on a game disc with the intention of having the customer pay to unlock it...well then that seems a little shady.
Odd that they would put this on Marketplace two weeks before the game even comes out.
Instead of complaining about content on a message board, vote with your dollars, don't buy it or the game if you have a problem.
Any reason this was released before the game is out? It can only be used with the full retail version of the game, yeah?
k now this is fucked up...the game hasn't even come out.....so it should of been in the disk..... no?
huh? did this game even come out yet?
"Instead of complaining about content on a message board, vote with your dollars, don't buy it or the game if you have a problem."
Enough with that bullshit, it's not working. These developers are screwing over people and microsoft is just sitting back and letting it happen.
The developers aren't screwing anyone unless they allow themselves to be screwed....thus making dude's point correct about vote with your dollars.
Good to know I'm not the only one tired of all the b!tching.
Ive voted with my dollars by not even buying a F'in 360 yet cause the marketplace sucks and their customer service sucks
This content is already on the game disc.
Have fun paying for it twice.
Isnt this usually included in the game? Last sports game I played was on the Dreamcast so I cant really remember.
Sub: it has already been stated the game isn't out. Read the thread.
420: no. Reelmakers are new. This has never been in a previous generation of sports games. This is only in the 2k sports series of games - ea games hasn't even made a way yet to save replays in games like Madden.
this is cool if it was included with the game in the first place...
I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding by people who think people complaining about the DLC is bitching. This is stuff that was designed and implemented in the game. The game that the consumer buys is hamstrung in the shop, and you've got to be online in order to unlock it.
What's someone who isn't online supposed to do if they want this feature? They paid over here, 75 euro for a game that locks them out of all the available features, that are actually available on the disc.
I wouldn't have a problem if the stuff they were selling was developed outside the time the game went gold, but it patently isn't. A decision was made to prise more money from the consumer.
Make a game, remove a feature that would benefit everyone just so you can sell it for more than the the $60 price your already charging for your yearly rehashed sport game expansion pack.
The MILKITPLACE is the #1 reason I have completely quit buying new games and this is coming from a gamer who bought 30 + Xbox at retail.
Happy MS?! I hope your making enough money shaking kids upside down by their ankles and bleeding them to death over every game to make up for all the gamers like me that you have alienated to the point where they are starting to dispise and hate the gaming industry.
I cant believe it costs extra to unlock a feature in the game... And this is available two weeks before the game even comes out?
I WAS going to be buying this game, but definitely not anymore. What a shame...

If you don't like the complaining about things like this, then don't bother looking at the comments section. Everyone has the right to express their opinion and if you want to complain about people complaining thats fine too. If this is just an unlock file like people are saying, this is ridiculous.
anyone know if this is found in the other versions on the disc? Because if yes then Major can get them in trouble for it.
