If I designed Crackdown I'd be indifferent. I mean, you'll never know if your game sold well because people liked it.. Or if they bought it for a "free" demo that came with it. Personally I think most people will be paying 60$ for the Halo 3 Demo and getting crackdown for free.. Know I will..

even if people bought the game for the h3 beta, (i didn't btw, it's not that serious) not all the crackdown copies have beta invitations, only a limited selection, so those will sell, the rest, i'm not so sure. actually, now that i think of it, the game might do well, a lot of people buy crappy games, don't know why tho.

Major, since you are involved in Xbox Live, could you post the quickest, easiest way to regain your offline downloadable content after your console has been replaced by Microsoft?
My defective console was replaced, not repaired, so the $150+ of Downloadable Content I purchased cannot be used unless my replacement console is connected and signed into Xbox Live. This in unacceptable, as I often bring the console to other places and now cannot use any Arcade Game or content download I have purchased.
I have to ask, who owns the content? I have paid for it in Real World dollars, but I am blocked from using it.
Please advise and help.

Looks like a good show, and I already reserved crackdwon, with a big part of it being the H3 Beta :)
Personally I think crackdown is going to get really bad reviews, isn't it a MMORPG with monthly fees? I think in order for a MMORPG to get a good review it has to be far and above a typical game and from what I have seen of crackdown it isn't really graphically next-gen. Doesn't this game use Cell Shaded graphics? does it seem like Cell Shaded games are done in lue of regular graphics becuase it is quicker to produce? This seems to be what happpened with Zelda as they put Windwaker out IMO becuase they didn't have enough done with the graphically superior Twilight Princess. This game looks like a failure from the first screenshot I've seen, I will be honest with you, unless this game is alot more fun than a typical game it probably isn't worth the 59.99 price tag and then the monthly fees on top of it. Someone who is excited for this game please tell me why it might be worth monthly fees? If I'm incorrect about montly fees than correct me. I think everyone will get into the Halo 3 beta and this is just a scare tactic for people to buy a game they know ahead of time will probably suck.
I'm buying Crackdown only to guarantee a spot on the Halo 3 Beta testing.
I might play Crackdown a few times, but if it sucks, it's going on ebay.
I think it's too bad MS has to drop the H3 beta test with a game they don't thing will sell well.
I'm sure Crackdown cost a lot to make and I don't think they'd make the money back on the game release without the H3 Beta.

I liked the interview on IPTV. It answered most of the questions I had after watching the streaming pre-CES announcements.
I dont understand why people are already saying Crackdown is going to suck when they haven't even played it. Give it a chance before you condemn it and if you are stupid enough to pay $60 for a beta of Halo 3 I would never listen to your opinion of a game anyway. I think Crackdown will be good but I'm sure people will find some thing to complain about it.
Also to the annoying commentors asking about how to access your offline files how about you get off your ass and call Xbox Support. Major isn't going to answer your question when it should be directed at tech support and all of us are SICK of hearing it. Same goes for this EmPerfectCror jackass! At least your a gold so I can give you bad feedback you whiner.

Bob after reading more about Crackdown I found out that it is another clone of GTA. I thought I read somewhere that it is a MMORPG but I am wrong from what I've read. But it is only 2 players max online? is co-op the only multiplayer mode? If so this game is going to suck, kinda reminds me of Kameo. I bet this game gets a really low score 7.0 IGN I bet. This game isn't original and the game really doesn't look that impressive, people will probably buy this game for the most part only for Halo 3 beta codes.
