Xbox Live's Major Nelson

The future of Xbox 360, Xbox.com and Xbox Live

Andre has posted a call out to the community of what you’d like to see on Xbox Live. With your input, you have helped mold what the service is today. You talk, we listen…that’s one of the ways we get feedback. I get a couple of hundred emails each week suggesting new Xbox Live features and I pass those onto the developers here in the building…so we are listening. But now that Andre has kicked off the conversation again...I'd like to take it bigger: what are your suggestions for Xbox 360, Xbox.com and Xbox Live teams? Let’s open it up to all three areas.
Please note his rules of engagement apply here as well.

oops, I forgot to add my suggestion!

Group video chats and group chats!!!

I have a bunch of friends but I hate switching between private chats to talk to them! We should have at least 4 people in a chat... Do I dare say 8 people chat??

I think they need to implement GROUPS.  So I could join an IGN group list that will show all the other people currently online that are in the IGN group.  And you could join multiple groups.

Penny Arcade, IGN, people from Oregon, people from Australia.  Basically limitless.

This would help solve the not enough people in my friends list.  Could save that for real friends.  And let communities find eachother on Live.

Would also help Microsoft as these communities would promote this fact.

Well, Xbox Live should be a true "Live" system. Observers should be able to go to a portal and see "What's Happening Now"... how many people are playing Gears, Halo 3... how many are in North America... how many are in Asia... how many have Xbox 360, how many have Xbox... how many people are playing with wireless controllers, how many are playing with wired controllers... it should BE a universe you can visit, not just read about.

One thing I'd like to see is for Xbox Live to deliver on your promises a la the Crackdown debacle about to ensue.  I posted this over at Ozy's and I'll post it here as well, how about the ability to stick a bluetooth dongle in one of your USB ports and use things like a BT keyboard or headset.  And maybe third party bluetooth controllers.
