The Daily Show and The Colbert Report now on VMP

Starting today, you’ll be able to download the latest ‘The Daily Show’ and ‘The Colbert Report’ on the Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace. They are being posted just hours after they air…so props to the VMP team for the staying up REAL late to make this happen. This means that if you miss the airing from the previous night or forgot to set the DVR you can just head over to the VMP and grab the complete shows.

Cool to see this is up. Was wondering why it did not show up last week, but I do not see you mentioning anything about the free episode Trixie mentioned last week? Is that up yet? Haven't checked the VMP recently.

Now, I have a proposal for ya. There is this late night talk show host on Fox on Saturdays. He has this producer guy who is selling(I kid you not) his back-fat to companies as promo space. Now I know this is beyond silly, but Playstation and IGN.com(and also Red Bull) have already bought spaces on this guy's back, and it would be a hoot if Microsoft could buy the large stspace under his neck for "Games for Windows/Xbox 360" advertising.

Come on. It would be one funny and absurd way to stick to Sony!

And btw. Congrats to the Video Marketplace team on getting such a deal worked out to have this and Southpack and Survivor content out so soon after the original episode has aired on television. Denfinitely helps the Marketplace seem more than a place to buy single episodes of TV shows that you can get in DVD packs and get certain movies on demand.

O.k.

I really like The Daily Show, but, 160 points x 20 episodes a month = 3200 points a month. For that kind of money... well you get my point

Next to that the show does not really have value for more then a few days after its airing.
