Why are people saying that we are paying to advertise a show? It's not like anyone other than yourself and a few mates will see it, and the chances are they will know about the show already.

I am happy to pay for the theme, and even happier that we can get this in the UK!

I'm really not liking this new trend of "buy these promo items". I loved the free movie/tv promo themes and pics. But we've had to pay for 3 of them in the lat month - ATHF, Kickin it old skool, and now Heroes. This is not good.

True that Deacon. Now if only we could get back the Heroes content that was on the Xbox Live Marketplace in 06. I never got to finish watching those behind the scenes and preview movies that came out before the show's premiere. :-(

I hope this means that MS is about to announce a deal with NBC. Cuz it's pretty lousy if they NBC only allows us to buy themes and gamerpics without offering the show on VMP. Heroes will be HUGELY popular on VMP I'm sure!

It's themes like this that make me wish MS would allow custom themse to be made, not just a background image for every blade. In fact, I wish the entire dashboard was more customizeable to make it my own but I know this is never happening. Anyhow, I digress.

I can just imagine how this theme and pics came about, like some NBC executive or marketing person thinking out loud during a monday meeting, "Hey, our show Heroes already has a big enough fanbase, right? Why don't we start sucking money from them!? Get Microsoft on the line!" And here we are. What happened to the days when these things were free to promote their show? I'm to spending my money to help advertise their show, even though I'm starting to like it.

I bought the gamer pics and theme before Major Nelson announced in, and I am happy I did. I absolutely love heroes and the theme and the gamer pics ROCK.

WTF? They want to charge us? Every person that has a gamerpic of Hero's is basically advertising their TV show. They should not be charging for this. I love the show, but I'll pass.

I just love how some companies take wallpaper or screenshots they offer for free on the web, retool them slightly, then offer it for a price on Xbox Live.

Live needs the ability to create your own themes, rather than one custom picture for all the blades. Charge people for it. The inability to customize this is obvious greed.
