Halo 3 Pre-orders top 1-million

Plus a lot more details about upcoming Halo 3 promotions have just been released. And from the shameless tie-ins department, it looks like the Marketing folks have been quite busy as this fall you'll see Halo 3 on everything from Slurpees to value meals.

What the hell is Slurpees?

It sounds dirty.

Anyway, I can't say I'm surprised that there's a big marketing push. Clearly Halo 3 is going to be the biggest game in the history of the world (and rightly so) but there are still people who don't know much about it - as hard as this is to believe sometimes.

Major, do you have any idea what advertising/tie-ins are going on in other parts of the world (i.e the UK) or where I could find out about it. I'm interested to know whether the same advertising campaigns will be running globally or not.

Can't say I blame MS for this Marketing Speed Wagon!! Halo3 will be the BIGGEST release in gaming history. Not even the behemoth GTA IV or Resident Evil 5 will even come close to the launch numbers of Halo 3!!

It wouldn't suprise me at all that MS sells 1 to 1.5 million copies on launch day!!
