Season 1 and 2 of everyone's favorite family from the Ocean State is coming to the Video Marketplace. In addition 'Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story' will be also available. You should start seeing some of this content by the end of the week.
This just for the USA again? Tell me, why do I keep paying so much for a Live subscription? I seem to be forgetting what great value it is, what with all the benefits we (don't) keep getting.
Dam nice to see now wheres the 18 seasons of simpsons LOL :D
are wee in luck on this one or not, if we are i hope i can pick one up for 200 points, i have 200 sitting in my account and i want to use it :P
Well said Wulf! £40 a year, and for what? The fact that the Americans keep getting content like this and were stuck with programming like "Beyonce-Artist of the Month" is an insult.
Freekin Shhweet!lol
Sweet. This is awesome. I love family guy.
This really sucks. I can't believe how shafted we are this side of the pond. Everything costs more (including MS Points) and we get half as much. It's wearing a little thin.
When can we expect a fully up and running service???
We DEMAND TV and HD MOVIES...or at the very least an update as to when us Europeans can expect to enjoy the goodness.
/sulks, takes ball home.
I cant believe nobody has said this yet:
"FRICKIN' SWEET!"
*Angry message about US favouritism goes here*
The reason we don't have it in the UK is due to licensing. If you iTunes you will have noticed that today we got access to a shed load of TV programs which the US have had for over a year.
Microsoft have promised us HD movies and TV content by the end of the year (one of their plugs to make you buy an Elite or bigger HDD) so just wait patiently. It will come :)
In response to the first post: I don't know, why? Seriously if it pisses you off so much, why DO you keep paying for it (and whining about it here as if it made a difference)?
Hey thanks for the head up. Always good to hear about this show
I agree also Im starting to wonder where and what my £40 a year is being spent on...
Thats $80 for you in the USofA
What would you want
$80 for this: -
www.xbox.com/.../whatisxboxlive.htm
or
$50 for this: -
www.xbox.com/.../live
Come on Major please let us know why this is like this and I think Im correct in saying the USA have the cheapest XBOX LIVE with the Most features in the WORLD
I too agree wit Wulf how is this fair Microsoft promissed us video marketplace yet since E3 I havent herd anything not a date zero even you on your podcast dident even metion it back around E3 (I mean come on next the US will get a internet broser or somthing and everyone will have to wait a year or more for that not saying that it will just an exampal) So realy Major and who ever elles is listning CANDAIANS DONT LIVE IN EGLOOS AND WE HAVE TVS AND 360 (ELITES) THAT ARE JUST BEGING FOR HD MOVIES AND SHOWS !!!!!!!!!!!!
Any news when the Video Marketplace will come to Europe, Major?
I have to agree with WULF too, we pay even MORE for the subscription then you guys do, we have less special discounts because there are almost none of those huge (american) markets in the EU, and we seriously get LESS!! thats just insane, but the biggest problem is, that everyone is simply IGNORING the EU, because how many times have there been comments about this on youre site alone!? 1000000000000000X !!! and you dont even give a reaction to it... its kinda sad...
Anyway, happy for the US, hope you enjoy, LATER...
It's about time. Does this mean other fox shows will show up on the market place later on?
It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. South Park rules the TV download rankings.
Non-U.S. Gamers, Xbox Live Gold subscriptions wouldn't affect this one way or another. Free Silver accounts can pay to download media content too. Gold's just to play games online. Not to be critical but instead of complaining to Major and Microsoft, who I'm sure would LOVE to sell you this, why not write and e-mail your local rights-holders of the shows to get off their duff to make this happen. Or at least ask Acey Bongos.
as peter says:
swwwweet!
I hope more things can be US only in the future. Who cares about the backwater known as Europe. They don't deserve anything. They don't even have a games console. They barely even develop video games.
Don't get too upset if you can't download this.. It costs twice as much as just buying the episodes on DVD.
@ lolYurop
No US is good, youre right! LETS JUST ATTACK EVERY FREAKIN COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, And hope not too much americans die...
You guys over in Europe complain just a little too much, does none of you realize the *** MS has to go through to get content over there? And you aren't paying for the service to download stuff you are paying so you can play Online. Switch to Silver and stop the bitching.
Oh dear, more European whining.
Several things:
1) Microsoft announced that the video marketplace will be coming to Europe by the end of the year. They have several months left.
2) They cannot give people in Europe access to this due to rights issues, it's the reason that we don't have the video marketplace yet.
3) Nobody is paying for Video Marketplace except those that download a video from it. It's not included in any subscription - so there's no valid complaint.
4) As pointed out, Apple has JUST added TV shows to the iTunes Store in the UK after nearly TWO years of having them in the United States. The video marketplace hasn't even been out for ONE year in the US, so if they do get it out this year they will have beaten Apple.
