Shows up early! Thanks Major!
Today is January 13th, not December 13th!
Today is Janurary 13th, not December 13th!
thx major..looking forward....to listneing to the show tonite
Major, I'm still having issues with Live;
Takes 20-30 seconds for the dashboard to load
Impossible to open voice/picture messages after 8PM GMT
Please fit it :(
Hopefully he talks about Goldeneye 007's chances of coming to XBLA.
again no zune love. I thought ipod was apple and zune was microsoft?
For those that don't want to listen, the Live update is that there is no news allowed due to the fact MS is being sued. Not sure why they couldn't have jsut posted that instead of burying it within the podcast. Oh well, so much for that. We are basically stuck with a flakey service and no updates now. From bad to worse.
looking forward to it Major...any comments on the advertising that was "around" at the xbox.com forums this week?
Also still lot of problems with LIVE over here in Austria/Europe every night all from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. (CET), maybe also at other daytimes. While althought most of the time COD4 matchmaking is now possible, the Dashboard is still loading for up to a minute after sign-in and sometimes you get signed out of live. It's better than two weeks ago, but Live is still far away from a satisfying expierience. Sorry to say that as I like Live a lot.
LOL, Hey Major, its January, Not December. Unless you really want to experience Xbox Live having problems during the holiday season again. Just kidding.
we time traveled back to december 13th! lol
show's not in itunes.. what gives??
Early shows ftw!
Hmmm, decided to listen to it earlier than usual this week but cos of the stupid American theory of "Where there's blame there's a claim" and deciding to sue I now have no idea as to how close they are to completely restoring the service, as well as having to put up with recurring problems.
Thanks!
Guys, maybe there's no Zune love cos the Zune isn't worth loving. iPod has claimed the podcasting thrown long before Microsoft decided to hop on the bandwagon.
ENHANCED PODCASTS PLEASE MAJOR!
At first I thought the lawsuit about Live was stupid. I wish someone would sue about the DRM issues and the fact that people can't transfer their license easily.
But it's been three weeks now, and Live has not improved. This is really getting ridiculous. In fact, I think the problems with Live are so bad now, that they're detracting MS from other issue. My license transfer hasn't gone through, even though I've been waiting over 3 months.
Part of the problem with having an unreliable Live service is that many games (if not all of them) cannot handle an unreliable connection. If the connection dies, usually the game just aborts whatever you're doing. I was going to play Marvel Ultimate Alliance with a friend Friday night, and I was having a hard time signing in. Even when I did sign in, I opted not to play that evening because I didn't want to get 30 minutes into a level (MUA doesn't allow me to save often enough) just to have the gave aborted on my because the connection was dropped for 5 seconds.
So now I approve of the lawsuit. Between broken promises on the license transfer, and three weeks of Live problems, I need to be compensated. A free XBLA game is not enough. I'm sorry Major. I know I asked you for help with the license transfer, and I know you've done something to help, but I'm still stuck. I've been patient, but my patience has run out. Microsoft owes me quite a bit at this point.
Perhaps if Microsoft had been a little more forthcoming and honest with the information to begin with, this whole lawsuit mess would never have happened...Y'know...instead of insulting people by issuing an apology that can be best described as "self-congratulatory".
It sorta reminds me of the episode of Futurama, Parasites Lost, where Bender says "Sorry you struck out, sausage link. If it's any consolation, my life is great!"
Very nice.. So we get a FUCKED UP Live, and no comments about it?
Not even a: "We're looking into it."
Damn, this piss me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait... Greedy lawyers? In America? NEVER!
Obviously the bulk of the whining turd stains here do NOT work in IT and think connectivity only requires a bone head to jack in a cat 5 cable into their router. Yes Live is having issues, yes they're working on it. Hell, I pay for 6 gold memberships for myself and my family and haven't felt the "need" to sue MS. Hopefully someday this country will achieve tort reform, although it is doubtful when you combine parisitic lawyers & the "no personal responsibility, accidents never happen unless someone can be sued, coupled with Me-Me-Me" mentality of the American society.
Thanks for the podcast Major.
thanks guys,listerning now.
@Cutriss
Have to agree, I'm no fan of lawsuits over this sort of thing but it seems MS brought this on themselves with the slow reaction and lack of information back to the customer. The sad part is now MS can hide behind this as an excuse (as Major has just shown) for not giving any information. At the end of the day the loyal Live customer is the one that will suffer. Perhaps however the legal issues will make MS actually fix the issue now, much like the RROD issue they denied for so long until the media and legal issue caught up with them. Only time will tell, until then we are left waiting in a black hole...
Major - I appreciate the position you are in, but legal issues or not, the lack of information on the issue is not acceptable to your customers.
Getting sued about DRM since you couldn't be arsed mentioning that? Having said that, I'm so glad to hear about burgers for 15 minutes. You dont deserve your Reuters mention "that no other company has someone like me"... You mean someone that doesn't give a crap about customers genuine grievences. Guess what Major they all have people like that, they just dont have people that pretend to give a crap.
not going to listen to this. is there any mention of drm or are they being sued over that too? :|
