"The Gathering"

Today was “The Gathering.” This was the first time for this event, that brought together the most influential fan sites from across Europe together for a meeting about Xbox and Xbox Live. The event was held all day long at “The Hospital” a cool art gallery and studio that was showing an exhibit called “PUNK: A True and Dirty Tale.” (Note the punk pieces in the background of the photo.)

It was an extraordinary collection of passionate gamers who are have great sites. They had a complete day with demos of Jade Empire, Forza, Ghost Recon 2, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Star Wars: Knights Of the Old Republic 2 and Star Wars: Republic Commando. In addition, the sites got to play many of the games and spend some time with the European Xbox Team. To cap off the day, we held the very first European Halo 2 Tournament with winners walking away with cool prize packs…including a new Samsung mobile phone!

Note:This is probably the only time you’ll see Master Chief artwork and Sex Pistols artwork in the same photo.

After the event we went to a pub...much of that part of the evening was all a blur...but rest assured a good time was had by all.
