How about this headset?
Wanted to see what the Xbox Live community thought of this headset. I am thinking of getting some made to give away in the contest I do (like Mystery gamer etc.) No...you can't buy them.

Yes, we really want to know. I put a poll up on my blog and we'd like to know what you think. We are redesigning the website, and we want your help. Tell us where to focus our energy on. What do you care about, not care about and really really like (or don't like) The poll is on the main page, upper right hand corner...you can't miss it.
For those that are picking this post up in a news reader, here is your Link
If after filling the poll out you want to praise, flame or complain about the site...drop me an email and I'll share it with the team.
Here is a photo of the special orange controller you can win in Trixie's "50th Gamer Spotlight contest." This is very cool..it was given out to a small number of Xbox team members when Xbox Live was launched. I don't even have one...it's THAT exclusive.
Enter the contest Here
Looks like I was ahead of the curve with this blogging thing. My uber boss may start blogging soon...yes I mean "Bill."

Last week I was posting on game soundtracks, and coincidentally the “Riddick” publisher released the entire soundtrack for free this week. It’s a 44 Mb download that you can grab after sighing up for a free account on Gamespot. The music is composed and performed by Gustaf Grefberg.

TriXie is doing a cool contest on Xbox.com where you can enter to be the 50th Xbox Live Gamer Spotlight! Head over to Xbox.com and check out the details, and good luck.

If you are on Xbox Live tonight after 8pm ET/5pm PT...look for the mystery gamer using the gamertag XboxLive. If you beat him, you'll win an Xbox Live T-Shirt...plus you'll also grab a version of the Project Gotham 2 soundtrack! (Hip Hop, Alternative or Electronica)

I have been playing MLB Slugfest from Midway and EA's NCAA Football for the past couple of days. Both are really strong, MLB (as usual) puts their own spin on baseball. (Kinda like WWF meets MLB.)
NCAA is fun. It's great to welcome EA to Xbox Live. NCAA has a lot of nice touched that make it a solid title. I have not had a chance to try the Xbox Live features yet, all of my play has been offline. I hope to get online today or tomorrow.
When we shipped the most recent update to Xbox Live back in April, one of the new features allowed members to send a voice message with a friends request. To let people practice, I removed everyone off of my list and let people send me voice message with their request. I then only accepted ones that made me laugh, or were original. Here are some of the better ones.

Recent rumors around backwards compatibility in the next generation console from Microsoft have been hotter than Seattle these past few days (very hot).
While the company does not like to comment on rumor, a few websites have run stories claiming to know the answer. Anything you have read is pure speculation, but the Xbox team issued this comment to stop the false rumors:
Recent stories in the press about future Xbox products are nothing more than pulp fiction. Microsoft hasn't made any announcements regarding the next generation, so it's far too early to speculate about specifics, including backward compatibility. In fact, this media conjecture is irresponsible. The credibility of any publication willing to compromise fact in favor of a catchy headline must be questioned. Xbox fans are smart enough to distinguish truth from sensational reporting.
While MOST Xbox fans are smart enough to not listen to the rhetoric, there is a vocal minority that continues to take the rumors as truth. It would be best for everyone if the community would stop responding to these types of rumors and get back to gaming. While the community is gaming, the Xbox Team can keep our focus on building the best damn console and online service in the world.
This site claims to have an emulator that will allow you to run Mac on Windows. Yes...OSX on Windows.
Let me know if anyone gets this to work....it's awfully interesting.

..will be on Thursday, after 8pm ET/5pm PT.
Look for him in PGR2 or TopSpin.
This Web-based service bills itself as a search engine for TV and radio. It scans the closed captions that accompany most television programming for keywords selected by users. For radio broadcasts, it employs a special speech-to-text program that quickly produces searchable text. Now when you are not watching TV because you are gaming, you can still read up on what you have missed. Not sure TV will be compelling when you "read" it...but give it a try.

Not sure if this is news elsewhere, but the "Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame" opened a couple of days ago here in Seattle. I have not had time to get downtown to check it out, but it looks like a nice way to spend a couple of hours with some unwashed trekkies. But chance I get to see the B9 robot from "Lost in Space" is a good day for me. (Why don't I remember the robot looking this cheezy?)

You may (or may not) have seen/heard this last week. To recap, there was a rumor floating around that Halo was coming to the Gameboy.
I had lunch with the Bungie guys and they said its BS. They said they normally don't comment on rumors, but this one was particularly and irritatingly wrong.
