Video Review of Madden

Gamespot put up a nice 15 minute video of the new features in this years Madden. They use the PS2 version as a demo...but you'll get the idea.

Models show movie trailers embedded on their T-Shirt

A theater in Boston has models walking around the lobby with flat screens embedded in their T-Shirts showing trailers to "iRobot". Of course this is the closest most geeks will ever get to a model.
I was struggling to come up with a punch line that was PG rated, and I could not...so you're on your own.

Who was last nights Mystery Gamer?

The Xbox Live Mystery Gamer was online last night for a couple of hours playing Project Gotham 2. Those who were lucky enough to stumble upon the MG were able to play with none other then the General Manager of Xbox Live himself, Cameron Ferroni. Cam (as he is known) reports directly to J Allard (who will be a mystery gamer in the future…I won't tell you when though!) is one of the founding members of Xbox, and really enjoyed last night. (He only gave out about 15 T-Shirts...since he pwn3d a lot of people in PGR2.)

You just never know know who the Mystery Gamer will be..

No...we are NOT buying Nintendo.

A German magazine says that Bill Gates told them he would immediately make an offer for Nintendo if the company's majority shareholder, Hiroshi Yamauchi (above) sold of his shares.
Of course Hiroshi is not sellling, Bill's not buying and thus we are not going all Zelda.
Why is that european magazines always seem to stumble on to this types of stories? Is it a case of things being lost in translation?

A truck! A train! Both!?!

From the "that's an interesting approach" department:

The Blade Runner Dualmode is a concept vehicle from UK firm Silvertip Design that aims to take out the middleman between tractor-trailers and conventional freight trains. I'll let you read about it at the links below….not sure how far they'll get with the idea though!

Doom 3 is out

I am getting scattered reports that folks have their hands on their retails copies of Doom 3. Drop me an email if you have it...I'd like to hear what people think. Of course, that's assuming you can find time to exit the game, and send me mail.

Rainbow Six Three: Black Arrow

Rainbow Six Three: Black Arrow, due out within the next week or so, is the first game that will show off the "Tsunami" features. "Tsunami" was an update we did to Xbox Live this past April. RS3:BA will have clan support as well as voice and text messaging. I have been playing with it for the past couple of days and I think folks will be very happy. I hope to spend more time with it this week, but probably not before everyone will get their hands on it. Here are some screens to keep you busy until it hits the stores.
