Great show Major.....Thanks to your show I now understand fully about HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray. Awesome! GO HD-DVD!!!!! I can't wait for the external HD-DVD Drive for the Xbox 360 to be released. However I do wish the Xbox 360 came with the drive built into it even if it does cost more money.

I certainly wouldn't expect objectivity from the participants, but it would have been nice if so much of the anti-Blu-ray propaganda hadn't been simply wrong. Here are a few points: 1. Contrary to Kevin's claim, persistent storage is required in all Blu-ray players. Additional storage for audio/video clips is currently optional. 2. Yes, Amir, naked Blu-ray discs are quite susceptible to scratches. But no one is releasing naked Blu-ray discs, they all come with a coating which makes them far more robust than HD-DVD and DVD. 3. The codec shootout Amir refers to where VC-1 beat MPEG-2 and H.264/AVC didn't attempt to benchmark AVC's best quality mode, "high profile". It is highly unlikely the same test done today would yield the same results. 4. Developing content for BD-J doesn't require "expensive Java programmers". That's what authoring tools are for, to provide an environment suited for the skills of the author. Oh, and incidentally, the last time I looked at the tutorials for developing iHD code on Peter Torr's blog, the code looked remarkably similar to Java code, and I doubt your average cheap "web-page designer" would have a clue on how to make use of it. You owe it to your listeners to at least fairly represent your technology against your competitors.

yeah, I went to a best buy today and HD-DVD looks awesome, but I'll like to see what PS3 has to offer, according to the show Blue-Ray is not even close to have the same picture resolution as a HD-DVD, but I as saw some of the trailers on a Blue Ray Player I was really impressed :P...

Well here it is Thursday and I finally had time to listen. Just as expected this was profuse "hrybaganda" (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hrybaganda) at it's finest. I had to turn this garbage off at about 9 minutes in.

Wow a big surprise a Microsoft rep is downplaying BlueRay. Do not get me wrong I can care less. I do not care about HDDVD or BlueRay. I just want to play games. I buy consoles to play games not play my movies I have never used my Xbox or PS2 to play DVDs I have a good DVD player for that. PS3 has better first party games so I will have to have both. I think this will be first time since the Dreamcast were I do not buy a console on the first day.

Interesting enough on how Monoplsoft has stated on the record that the HD-DVD drive will not be used for games. Yet constantly in the interview Major Puppet kept stating what this will do for gamers. If the PS3 is just "a Blue Ray drive with controllers" and DVD-9 is enough? Why did you have to go on a 82 minute rant..........what does Microsoft have to worry about. I mean its not as though you will be playing games in the drive.......AHEM. "Sometimes I just want to know what makes Fanboys tick!" You seem to know Major.

Usually these podcasts are pretty cool, but whats up with this infomercial? is it supposed to lessen the blow when the price is revealed and everyone realizes that a loaded 360 with this drive and a wireless internet adapter will cost just as much as the PS3 which has that stuff built in? Everyone on Live is still playing Halo 2, how about some MLG community discussion? How about some news on why there is Japanese exclusive content when the PS2 still outsells 360 by 10-1?
