Who plays four player games anyways? That's silly, that's like 4 player chess. Anyways, you do know you can play the maps in skirmish, right? And its good training for the time when the maps become free and other people will eventually get them. Then you will have a definite advantage since knowing the map is a great way to improve your chances of dominating the game, especially if your foe is playing the map for the first time. You'll instantly know where to go and where to find capturable buildings, inhabit neutral towers and hence dominate key points of the map, while your opponent is still looking around with a dumb look on his face :)

The real problem is that even if you spend $9 to get the maps, nobody else is going to have them so you'll never be able to get a 4 player game online going on them. It was hard enough with COD's extra maps. But, seriously, how many people are going to pony up $3 per map on a game that already has so many other maps? EA should be selling new 1 player missions and giving away new maps and patches so that it can sell more games. Their current model is a horrible business strategy.

Hey, I for one was thrilled when I saw that there were new maps available. I immediately added the download of these three maps to the queue and its going to be downloaded right after Street Fighter 2. I purchased more points for this purpose and I'm very happy to get some extra content. None of this would happen on any other console on the market before this one. If you don't have enough points to purchase these three maps, please refrain yourself from complaining about it. You will probably get these maps later for free anyways. Such thing has already happened with a map pack with whatwasthenameofthatww2game. For me this is great being able to download more content for this great rts game, this is the best rts I've played on a console since dune 2 on the sega megadrive and almost as good as emperor battle for dune on pc. just not dune but instead middle earth... which is cool for a change since I kind of never played warcraft 3 or any of the bfme games on pc anyways. Its just so relaxing to play a rts on my couch with my hdtv! Well I wondered off there a bit, anyways, I gladly paid the 700 points.

not too long ago we would get a full game at release for 50 bucks, now we get an unfisnished game at release for 60 bucks and a few weeks later we have to pay extra for the finished product... EA is always the front runner in any money making scam tho, this doesn't suprise me

While MSFT is only a conduit, MSFT certainly prevents pornographic content. In this specific instance, 700 pts for three maps is quite pornographic!

700 points is a little high for just 3 maps. I think that Microsoft should consider a pricing structure for content like this, to avoid another "GRAW chapter 2" fiasco.

I'd quite happily pay 100 - 150 per map, but 700 points for 3 is a little too high in terms of value for money. There are map packs for COD2 and PDZ which have 4 or 5 maps included for a lower price than this.

If I was a part of microsoft's group, I'd put a structure on these things so the maximum punters pay per map would be 200 points individually, but recommend to publishers that in packs one of the maps would be half price. That way this LOTRBFME2 would cost a much more reasonable 500.
