See why don't they release the NFL ones in groups, like AFC West, etc.

That way you at least feel like you are getting more for your money. (Even though you would probably hate 3 out of the 4 teams)

o ya, i just noticed this too. the WAC logo isnt even up to date. theyre using the logo from previous to 2003. now their logo is much different if you look on http://wacsports.com sad

I am bored with the complaints about the themes and gamerpictures. I agree with some of the sentiments but the style of the complaints sucks. If you are genuinely concerned about this then acting like a fanboy and shouting about ditching your 360 will cause anyone at MS to turn their brains off. Whilst I like the idea of gamertiles and themes I find the sheer quantity released for specific titles baffling. Do we really need multiple themes for GRAW? Do we need multiple picture packs for Sequel Raider...sorry Tomb Raider? The problem is one I have higlighted before and MS don't seem to have the answer yet. They are letting devs decide what content and at what price they release it. The horse armour incident - Bethesda sets the price - MS get's it in the neck. But for pity sake guys let's not let the comments decend into childish ZOMG'ing as this is one of the most direct channels of communications we have as consumers to MS - they read the blog. If the whole thing is filled with rants then the channel will close. The most reasoanble argument will be ignored if it's put forward by a raving fanatatic. Personally I think their is an imbalance in the amount of this frippery and a cantor through the marketplace always leaves me wanting more videos and more demos. Also we were promised micro transactions? I don;t think £1.28 is justified for a few pictures in a theme. Over £1 is NOT micro - 10p is micro and at that point I would probably spend more.

I agree that lots of tat have appeared on the marketplace but this is coming from 3rd party olk like ea etc, as for the price i guess its market driven like the price o most things. As always dont like dont buy. Just feel sorry for us brits who dont get Madden on the 360 until 8th september

I seriously don't know why you guys complain so much about picture packs and themes. No one is forcing you to buy anything. You guys just sit and cry that you want more demos and new trailers while Microsoft seems to be posting these at a regular pace now. Granted that this summer was slow in terms of content for a while, but the past couple weeks a lot of new stuff has come out. (Saints Row, Dead Rising, DOA4, N3, NCAA 07, LOTR, etc. with Just Cause, a new Test Drive, and FEAR being released soon.) Every game that is coming out in the near future seems to have a demo up recently and companies aren't going to release demos for games that aren't even close to completion. I mean, its almost if you guys are expecting a new demo/trailer every day.

Not to mention that they have released an Arcade game almost every Wednesday and are giving you a free one this week. Next you'll start to complain that all of them should be free even though 5-15 bucks is reasonably priced.

Microsoft can only put up what the publisher's give them and if they are only giving them picture packs and themes, then you can't really complain about Microsoft. I'm just really sick of people complaining about this, when no one is forcing you to download anything. I don't care for the picture packs/themes either, but at least there's some content going up and maybe one day they'll make a set that I wouldn't mind paying for. So I will not complain.

The scope of DLC has really fallen by the wayside recently. Only people in the states are really going to give a damn about all thise dull as fudge content for american football games. Picture packs for university 'football' teams? Come on, get a grip. The incredible delivery structure of market-place is starting to look like a joke. Where's the tracks for PGR3, where's the extra levels and characters for other games? I don't have really anything against themes and picture packs, if people want them they will buy them.... What i do object to is 'bonus aesthetic content' such as this being headline news in a sea of boredom. I'm hoping to god that publishers release a pile of trailers and a few demos during Leipzig in the same way as they did during e3. PS. Yes I do realise that the content is typically under the control of 3rd party publishers, but MS could at least give the rest some beacons to follow and a kick up the ***.

So, when's the Test Drive Unlimited Demo version 2 coming out? I find it kind of lame that the E3 demo was taken off before version 2 made it to the Marketplace. I downloaded version 1 demo during E3 and finally had to delete it to download some other demos (Dead Rising was one of them) and when I went back to try and download it , the demo was nowhere to be seen!!! WTH!? I could understand if the new version 2 demo was up, but it's not up and it's been at least 3-4 days now. I would have been satisfied with just getting the version 1 demo again, but no, now I have to play the stupid Microsoft secrecy game until the version 2 demo comes out. Atari mentioned that they were told the demo would be ready around the 20th of August, but as we all know, Microsoft certification process is secret so we don't know exactly when it'll come out...this is all just great!
I have a suggestion, any time content is going to be taken off the Marketplace, how about letting us know so those who really want it can re-download it if necessary. To think, I thought that once something was on the Marketplace (Artist of the Month not withstanding), it would be there forever for me to enjoy. Oh that's right, I forgot, my 360 came with a HD that's so spacious, you don't need to worry about deleting stuff and running out of room. Sure...

exprohound I think the issue is that there is an almost endingless flood of overpriced tat making its way onto the marketplace.

I'm yet to understand how they came up with the arbitrary figure of 100 points for half a dozen tiny images.

What is disconcerting is that theres very little experimentation with lower price points. What can you get for 1 point? Or 10 points? It seems Microsoft et al are more than happy to expriment with multiples of 100 points.

It all seems v. greedy when the potential market for this stuff is 10 million gamers by the end of the year! Granted only a percentage of that are interested in picture packs - but considering the negligable cost to produce its license to print money!

I want demos, HD movie trailers and good in game content like Oblivion... and if Microsoft starts this consumables stuff they will be hurting the gamers like never before

Coming from the UK i find it odd that folk seem to always complain when something is posted on the marketplace that you have to buy everyone seems to complain? I mean you dont HAVE to buy it and to complain about someone wanting paid for there stuff is also odd. I mean every week hundreds of cd's dvd's are released that you can buy but you only buy the ones you want and are (i imagine) happy to do so? Also the price for these items is not dictated by ms but by ea, ubisoft etc?

so we get a stripped down game first, then find out we have to buy alternate jerseys included on the last gen versions... they aren't even available yet... but this is the second installment of stupid icons... f.uck EA, I hope they rot in hell... and I am getting sick of microsoft with all these stupid picture packs and now this consumable bs... give me content I can actually play
