Judging by the demo I think they were right to release it after the game was out. If they had released it before then there would have been much MUCH fewer sales.

HAHAH i remember how laggy this was...Wow MS and companys have to learn one thing. If you want a game to sell post the demo before the game comes out not after. People will rent it then instead..What a waste of space on the Marketplace I WANT THE NHL 07 demo..I had this game and it sucked

the map creation is mind blowing, there are some innovating maps out there that people make that have nothing to really do with the game such as "obstacle courses", "get to the top of the map" and other things like that, you'll see...peace

Hmmm another victory for demos (i'll pass on this) - laggy even though I am on an 8Mb ADSL connection and the aiming is terrible - you just have to be shooting kinda at someone to kill them... where is the skill in that?

Liked the demo level though, why they just can't call it capture the flag... or come up with something more inventive like you can only carry the sample for 30 seconds otherwise it infects you and you die or something.

Also - crosshairs on the sniper go red before and after someone is through the shoot to kill point etc.

To reiterate, if you want to play the F.E.A.R. demo NOW, go pick up this month's OXM. It HAS the DEMO. Sorry, no multiplayer, and it's kinda short, but it does have demos of Prey and Top Spin 2 with it, so you don't have to redownload those demos to play them again. Not to mention, its got exclusive Dead Rising gamerpics for free, and both Halo 3 videos, so you can get rid of those two as well. So, to reiterate, if you absolutely MUST have the F.E.A.R. demo NOW, get the latest OXM. Or get a friend to buy it and pass the disk around your social clique.

It still boggles my mind as to why Ubisoft would release a version of the UNPATCHED game for download? Demos are supposed to help gain interest in the game, not turn people away. -_-

boy am i glad i didnt shell out $60 for this game. the only thing i liked was the water.
