I'm not sure how this works (and obviously cost will be a real factor) - everyone will want to be amongst the marvel heroes (or if possible, villians). Guess we'll see but just being in the marvel universe/around those heroes might fall a bit flat. I get MMO and have paid - I also get GW and will soon have chapter 3. It's a funny line to walk, particularly with people already paying for gold. And if it's just heroes when CoH/CoV is already out there and cheap as heck... /shrug. Wonder when DC will come around with a MMO heh.

sound good to me... but i think if it was like more an anime style type of mmo (meaning not even making a marvel game) then we could maybe get more of the west buying xbox 360s.

Not surprised. Why didn't Marvel announce this in the first place? Most of those playing MMOs in the PC community were very surprised when we read years ago of Marvel suing NC Soft for having a game that was able to make its characters possibly... now they end up using that same company instead of reinventing the wheel.(And yes, I know it is the responsibility of companies to protect their copyright). Smart move Marvel. Smart indeed. ;)

Since it's an MMO by the people Marvel once sued because people can make characters that look like Marvel characters in CoH, I suspect the game like all others for the pc will retail at $50, and as usual to compete with the rest of the MMO market, it'll be $15 a month, and more months you subscribe to at a time(like 3 months for example, the more money they take off(a dollar) the monthly fee just like any other MMO.

The monthy fee will be the deal breaker for me. I dont mind paying for my gold a/c or paying full price for this game but a monthly fee is a no show for me surely it should be all included in the gold fee? Great work on the fast blogging Major BTW

Odium DX, You know it is too soon to ask about pricing and such, especially when the title is at least a year out from release... Besides its an MMO so it will most likely have a monthly fee since it is a persistant world (meaning the world is alway on, always running whether you are there or not). It's an MMO dude, fee comes with the territory... and before it is said, the only reason Guild Wars is free is because of it's unique business model that most companies can't pull off.
