This micro transactions crap sucks. When I buy a game, I dont expect to pay extra for things that should have been included. XBOX LIVE MAPS SHOULD BE FREE. I don't wanna have to worry about if everyone has the map. It should be required to have all the maps before you can play on Xbox Live. If they wanna give us stuff for the single player for a lil money, that wasnt HELD BACK FOR THE MARKETPLACE to try n nickel and dime us, then its ok. You should not let things be available the first day or even first month or two. That could help a bit. NO CHARGING FOR MULTIPLAYER MAPS!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH I hope they don't ruin Gears or War or Rainbow Six with this crap.

I've heard that you're 'looking into' this major but please don't just look.

EA's Nickel & Diming (hell, Q?s too) is bringing the marketplace into disrepute. You should have the MS PR guys ALL OVER this sort of thing to ensure that the other companies don't damage your rep through their own greedy ways.

The more this goes on then the more of a PR disaster it will be, and the less useful the marketplace will become. We don't want to be milked.

It is the case that this stuff is available otherwise through playing the game - but they're truly showing their colours proposing you give them more money to reduce your gaming experience.

GOD. Disrepute, DISREPUTE.

A petition is going to do nothing. Actual actions will cause EA and/or Microsoft to change their business plan. Don't download the demo's released by EA, even if they are free. Don't buy the extra content that is available in the game already....better yet, don't buy any content. BIG ONE, don't buy the game, no matter how much you want to play it. Cancel your Xbox Live account and tell your customer service rep. why you're cancelling your service.

Action is the only real resolve, not a petition.

The thing I'm scared about is PPG, or Pay Per Game. I remember back in the days when the major sports events used to be shown on TV for free (well, as part of the sports package if you had Sky). Then all of a sudden the boxing starting to become PPV, which defeated the point of having a sports package. And now loads of the major events have to be paid for separately.

Since EA manage their own servers, what's to stop them introducing this at some point? Where we have to pay every time we want to play online? You guys might laugh now, but you probably would have laughed back in the days if someone suggested that EA would be so bold as to try and sell you something that you've already paid for. I know I would have, and look at where we are now.

defiantly agree thats Microsoft needs EA. but we don't. they will probably do the same thing on PS3 online content. Sony zombies will by anything!!!

next thing you know, they'll be charging for high resolution textures!

EA have been screwing over gamers for years, with high prices, lacluster support, and bad servers. They should be the first against the wall in this, the next gen revolution.

Andy, the key word is 'many'. Many of items in the downloadable packs can be unlocked, but not all. Whether many is more than 1/2 is another issue, but fact of the matter is that there is content on the disc, developed for the game pre-launch, that we have to pay for to have access too, and that's just wrong.

EA are testing the water here, and their scumlike behaviour appears to be growing with every new release. We're already paying more for the Xbox 360 version of the game, why are we not getting the content that we're paying for. When I pay for a game, I expect the whole thing. How many of you pay to watch a movie, and after you've done that you're told you have to pay extra to see the final few scenes. OK, it's a choice. You can choose not to watch those scenes, but then it makes a mockery of everything else. This "choice" argument is a load of rubbish.

I was under the assumption that this was content which could be unlocked within the game. What you are buying on Marketplace is the ability to unlock it without having to gain the accomplishments in the game to do so. I might be wrong though.

as long as MS remains oblivious to this, MS will drag their name down with EA.

many hate EA and it won't be long before everyone starts ignoring them.

MS needs to decide if they want their name drag through the mud as well.

EA is the scum of this industry. They need to get out.
