Microsoft promised that this demo would be available also for silver members after a 7 days wait.

It will be interesting to see if the the demo will indeed reappear, or if the promise was just another lie.

curses to you freeloadin silver members hogging up bandwidth and then complaining that u shouldnt have to pay for free trailers/demo's

u should get none of that

u should just be able to purchase from the marketplace and receive NOTHING for free

you pay nothing, u get nothing.

be thankful for the free ride you got, but the time has arrived and wow you have to wait a week...

Yep the demo has been pulled because of the dreadful feadback but no explantion. Hush hush push it under the carpet and maybe no one will notice and the suckers will still buy it on release day.

Daran: Wheres the option to pay for the marketplace without having to pay for the online gaming side of things? They are different systems and I'm not interested in online gaming so why should I shell out for it just to get demos I was getting anyway and was led to believe I would keep getting.

If you want to compare the marketplace to other websites then why can't the Silver users have adverts on the side to pay for the servers and Gold users get the bonus of not having adverts?

Or is it more about M$ wanting online numbers to shout about?

First it's not that silver members won't get it, only a little later.

Second all those sites have some paying section, if it's not for online service it's for a pro version from the free software they're giving. If there were no paying customers do you really think it would all be stay for free ? I can't image all those people at XLink, Apple, ... works for free ?

And last a year membership for Xbox Live Gold is $60 including a $20 coupon for a game and a headset a free arcade game and some Microsoft points. So that's $5 a month and some free stuff. Not quite a impossible high amount isn't it ?

And I'm sure there will come some game bundles were you get a live subscription for free just like there was on xbox.

You're absolutely right! I can't imagine an online service providing downloads for free.

I'd write more about how I agree with you, but I just finished up downloading some trailers from Apple.com, some patches and the Vista beta from Microsoft, and a few pieces of shareware from Tucows. I'm also supposed to be playing a game of Halo 2 on XLink Kai in a few minutes so I should probably get to that.

Microsoft shovels it, you guys will keep eating it.

For all those silver members out there. Before you complain don't forget you're paying nothing to access the marketplace. I feel as a paying Gold member I'm entitled to download stuff before non paying members can. If you think about it you're complaining about something you're not paying for. If you watch at f.e. ign.com, gamespot.com, ... they all have a paying section were members can download beter quality trailers or demo's before non-paying members can, so why should it be different on the marketplace ?

We Gold Members are paying for the maintenance of this services, or do you think all this servers it runs on are for free or maintannce themselves ?

And do you really think Sony or Nintendo will be able to setup such service without someone pays for it ?

If you the want the privilige to download it as soon as it comes out, pay for this service as the rest of us or have a little patience and download it later ...for free !!

ma71: The demo was on the Danish Marketplace yesterday as I wasted my time on downloading this demo. I don't know if it's up again but it was gone earlier today. Perhaps they decided not to lose anymore potential customers. This has to be the worst 360 game!
