I should mention this now: These videos are not exclusives for just the Gold members to want to brag about. Head on over to the Lost Planet website, they have both videos as "Webizodes" and guess what, they're free for everyone.

The Gold thing is just a gimmick to say: Here you go, loyal Xbox Live customer, have some videos for your 360 to tide you over until the Thanksgiving demo.

are these videos actual cutscenes from the game? Or are they videos created specifically to be released before hand, to setup the story?

If these are cutscenes from the game, then I don't want to watch them.

I'm sure its appreciated that you give silver people a heads up on when they get the content but it is still lame to make people pay for advertising.

Nowhere in the contract does it state that all Silver or Gold members for that matter, will be entitled to anything but the multiplayer options etc.

On another note, if the "Lost Planet" trailers are indded promotional material, what's the big deal about getting what essentially is a "commercial" 7 whole days after Gold account holders.

As always, this is a classic "have vs. have nots" scenario, and the "have nots" are upset because they have to wait a trivial period of time to get "an advertisement" for free.

As a Gold account holder, let me apologize to Silver account holders for paying to get a commercial 144 hours before they'll get it for free.

If you have to think about your "investment" of less than $5 a month,you've got bigger issues than subscribing to xbox live gold. i cant believe people consider $50 (sometimes$40) a year is like a car to some of you. Here's a thought maybe you should pick up another hobby;or pick up a PS3 cause that cheap.

About the Silver-Gold debate, I think people need to calm down. Look, we go through this every single time: you are paying absolutely nothing for this stuff. Sure, these are just ads, but the fact of the matter is that you can watch this stuff in 720p on your TV, instead of on a tiny screen window on your PC that when you expand it, it gets grainy. THATS THE IDEA OF IT. This is working just like Gamespot, IGN, and other websites that have a HUGE free section, but to get the news FIRST or to download videos in HD, you have to be an "Gamespot All access member" or "IGN insider." Microsoft justs feels its time to incorperate this for "Xbox Live Gold" members. Jeez, you freaking freeloaders...

And keep waiting, 3 days actually, as Peter Moore clearly said it would come out in Europe "5 days, not 5 months" after the USA release date (nov 12 in USA - nov 17 in EU). They (MS) never said it would be out around the world on the same day ... you just assumed and now you are blaming them for it.

I'm a gold member and I like getting something for my money, but I don't agree with making silver members wait for content. I think it's a bad move and will push away more silver members than make them want to pay $50 a year to go gold just to get a video earlier.

I would like to see more silver members convert to gold to help support the best gaming network out there, but if they want to play online, they'll pay, if they don't, then getting a video earlier won't make much difference, except anger them and push them toward Sony's free service (although I don't think it will work well, but we will see).
