GoW > Halo 2... Everyone that says it doesnt is mad because they arent good enough to play a game that doesnt have an extreme amount of auto aim... And the weapon arsenal is fine... All of the weapons are balanced and they have alot of unique weapons.. It has about as many weapons as Halo 1 and Halo 1 was a popular game...

gears of wars multiplayer is horrible

limited arsenal of weapons

lacking game types

halo 2 kicks its ass in the gameplay area

yes it has pretty visuals and the chainsaw gun

Well, Halo 2 had a good run. I don't think GoW will last long up there, for some reason. I've heard the multiplayer is very button mashy, and the game types slow and irritating, but until I actually play it, I guess I can't say anything.

Can't wait for Halo 3.

Grats to GoW, but why all the dogging of halo 2? It's an xbox game, GoW is a 360 game. Just wait till halo 3 comes out.

I cannot believe that nobody has mentioned RE-VOLT! Please bring back Re-Volt! I sent tons of hours playing that game and it was a blast. It would be a perfect budget/arcade title.

Gears of war doesn't deserve to be at the top until it gets some good multiplayer modes like standard death match. im sick of wandering around for 5-10 Minutes looking for the last person on the other team

GoW wont sit there for long. NOTHING can beat the mighty halo 2 (for more than a few weeks-lol). GoW is unbelievably awsome but after you complete the campaign 2ce and play online for 10-12 hours it does START to get a bit boring.

Change is sometimes good, but for how long will the new change last. Not as long as "halo" is around. Both games got my heart.

Gears of War has it and I think that it will be at number 1 for a while but halo 2 will be at number 1 when the new maps come out and then halo 3 will be at number but they also said that Gears of War is coming out with some new maps too so that will revitalize it for a while too. Bottom line is that Gears and halo 2 are good competiters but halo 3 will have it in the end and then Gears of War 2 will hopefully be released and halo 3 and Gears of War 2 will fight that is what i'm waiting for.

It won't take Halo3 a week to defeat Gears of War, but then Halo2 will be on top then again too.
