"Ubisoft is working with Microsoft to submit the TMNT game for

certification in Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Australia and it should become available on Xbox LIVE Arcade pending

clearance in those regions. We will share more information with regard

XboxForLife, it is not the arcade game that is on the Wii. It is just the original Turtles NES game.

Big thanks for that tip, Nobody! :) It looks like I may have to do that if I can't find an answer as to what is going on soon. I think Microsoft Australia is trying to figure out what the situation is.

another pissed off aussie!

however after reading all the comments i tried the fake id method. and IT WORKS!

step 1:

create hotmail account but change the country to NZ

step 2:

create xbox live acc using above email

step 3:

go to maketplace and presto tmnt 1989 is there!

step 4:

download free version

step 5: sign out and sign in with your regular profile

step 6:

unlock full version by using you ms points

step 7: give finger to atari/ubisoft/konami/oflc/ms or whoever for delay :P

TURTLE POWER!

edit: DOH! can't buy full version using aus profile, keep getting error msg. will have to put points on nz profile to get it

Broken Achievements. Why the hell do you even bother with Cert, when you know it doesn't work? Poor Jimmy the Cert, so overworked.

Tell Ubisoft to tell Digital Eclipse to fix their game, huh? As I understand it, Ubisoft must sign off first before DE can do anything.

reco, I'm guessing you're in Australia?

Were you able to then purchase the game with points from your Australian account and play it on that?

Or was it constricted to the New Zealand account and you'd need to purchase points on that to play it? Because if that is the case Australian's shouldn't need to jump through large hoops to play a game that should have no problems being easily available to them.

I'd think with the time it takes to get a game past cert, they would have time to sort out the regional licencing issues. Still, it's just speculation at this point, maybe the USA is punishing Australia for kicking their rump at GoW.

Hope to hear back from you with the official / semi-offical line soon, Major.

Hopefully the very vocal Australian response will get the issue fixed soon enough.

I really hope something can be done for Australia, as I just can't seem to find out the answer as to what is going on.

First Australia has never had a problem with Ninja Turtles anything. There has never had to be any censorship of them and we never had to have them called the 'Hero Turtles'. So it can't be a case of the game being 'too naughty' for Australia.

Second distribution rights. Ok.. yes Atari distributes Konami games in Australia, but even though this was made by Konami back in the day it is being published by Ubisoft for release on XBLA. Although even is there is an issue of sorts mixed up within Atari/Konami then how is it that New Zealand got this and Australia didn't? As the very same Atari that exists for Australia is the same one that exists for New Zealand, so it can't be an Atari/Konami issue either if New Zealand got it.

So I can't seem to figure out what the problem is.. and I only hope it is something small as if Australia is denied this game forever it is utterly ridiculous and almost makes me want to get rid of my 360. It may sound silly but this game is more important to me than most retail 360 games.
