Played VT3 last night, I can report that all is well. Very playable, and some nice Achievements, (5 100% serves in a row is going to be tough).

See you on XBLive, (although not on tuesday apparantly).

Lets face it, if you beat the demo without any challenge you wouldn't keep trying would you. They want you to keep coming back to the demo, so you'll then want to buy the full title. Who wants to play games that are too easy, (other than to gain easy achievement points), we all enjoy a game with that, 'must have one more go' quality. Anyway, with practice it's not too hard. Just try completing the Arcade, or VT2 on the DC, now that's hard. It's all about getting into the right place and hitting away from your opponent. But yeah, the music is still a bit naff.

I read the VT3 thread over on the NTSC-UK.com forums and a member of Sumo (development team for the '360 version) said that they placed the game on "Hard" difficulty for the demo and the the final game will have a difficulty slider bar.

So yeah the dmeo is hard as nails. but I enjoy it. I finally got my first win tonight and it was very satisfying. It's all about getting a correct position and not pressing the button too early, just as another poster said.

For everyone who is interested in VT3, at least rent the final game this week. I know it will be an immeadiate purchase for me.

It appears one silver member has this and it doesn't say silver only but 2 are asking when they can get it? So is it available or not? Asking cause I hope they finally stopped this crap.

I dunno about the rest but I'll stop complaining when they stop making us wait a week. Espically after a year of NOT having to wait and there not being any excuse for this at all when it's supposed to be "free".

Yes,exactly. That's what you're paying for (wich answers a previous question from someone else). We don't want to play online so we don't pay for it obviously. I'm not going to spend $80 (Canadian) for something I don't want. I don't even play for free on my PS3 or PC,I sure as *** won't pay for it on 360.

and everywhere else we're getting it for free and NOT being made to wait a week for it just because we don't want to play online.

VT3 is really hard, but it rocks. Compared to the "old" Virtua Tennis, you have to work more with your positioning, to return the ball well.

For anyone who has problems when playing against the cpu:

The longer you press the button, the harder you strike and the faster the ball will go. But it is also the duration of your commands on the D-Pad/Stick that influence how far you can drive the ball into the corners. Try to do stops by getting closer to the net and pressing down, so the that the ball gets a backdrive. Try to trick your opponent by luring him to the far side of one corner with constant strikes and then just slice the ball into the other corner.

After a while, you will know how to beat the cpu. But you always have to pay attention. Every point is important, so dont take it easy.

BTW: The music really sucks! I hoped for smashing guitar riffs and solos like we had them in VT 1, but the game dissapoints with a very bad soundtrack, that predominantly sounds like a synthi on demo mode ^^

However, I really look forward to playing online!

Downloaded, try it. I like the Table Tennis game better. I felt the game play was more intense than VR Tennis.

Man, I loved VT on the Dreamcast but I haven't really played a tennis game since. This demo is incredibly hard for my noob skills! I feel pathetic. I haven't been able to win a single game yet!
