This may not be a popular....but why not only let registered users post and only allow silver and gold members to register (with exceptions to people you what to post if they don't have an account). This will cut down on spam and help control the user base.

I really wish the people complaining about the complainers would shut up!!! That's you Alijah Green, Xyjar, The Rockymonk, Seteo.. You pityful egoheaded blogger mommies.. Let people complain if they want!! This isn't your blog and if you don't like it don't come here and read. They have every right to be mad and comment just as you do. Actually, I can't go anywhere without hearing the uproars of early adopters who are mad about this. Get used to it because the complaints are going away anytime soon. The only thing going away are the sales numbers for this console..

I don't think Twitter could handle all the traffic very well. I was having enough troubles getting the site to load before you joined, Major!

Thanks for the information. I just assumed it had something to do with the additional traffic because of the update and the increase of all the whining and complaining from children who could not get on Xbox Live for 24 hours. :)

Yeah, you need to have a silver or gold account to sign up, as it verifies that you have a gamertag before registration completes. Of course, you don't even need a 360 to get a silver account, so I don't see the hassle.
