I don't think it has anything to do with European publishers, it's Hollywood who have the final say. And apparently they've decided to wait until everyone between the ages 12-40 routinely downloads their stuff for free before they'll consider introducing a legal alternative. It sounds like a crazy plan to me, but what do I know about business models!

Well since I live in the UK I won’t be downloading any of these which is a shame because I think the HD movies rentals might appeal to me. It’s not a bad idea but they are a bit overpriced, they should lower the price a bit or give you the movie for 48 hours instead of 24 hours. If it does ever come to the UK the good old Microsoft points system will end up charging us more than what the US pays anyway.

Am I the only one that thinks they should start renting TV shows like they do with movies? I don’t see the appeal of paying for TV shows and only being able to watch them on the 360. You would fill your hard drive pretty quick if you want to get whole seasons of shows and have to buy the overpriced 120GB drive, I’d prefer to get the DVD. Some people only want to watch TV shows once or twice anyway or they just want to catch up on episodes they have missed so I think TV show rental would be good.

Come on Major, please can you give us a rough time plan for when Europe can expect to see the video marketplace to go live? I understand that it must be much harder to get all the european publishers on board, but it is really frustrating being treated like 2nd class customers here in the UK!

That's why the whole mediaindustry needs to grow up and move into the 21th century aswell.. It's rediculous that in this day and age of the ever important internet we are still very much restricted by stupid old laws that don't see the world as 1 single happy place.. They should come up with a single international law for media like games, film, and music etc so everybody worldwide gets the same things, at least in all the countries that are willing to participate in such a law (I think any sane Western and/or mordern country will)..

Or maybe I'm just to simple for this world..

What AIRLINE did you take how did you end up in the C gATES i think thats the gates where you have to walk like a mile to get to the gate ive been to Ohare so many times i should remember but that sucks thank god you didnt take midway that would've been a nightmare lol hope O' hare finds your luggage chances are you wont see it for a week but they will compensate you just buy as much as possible and KEEP THE REceipts!! lol

iTunes does the same thing...my brother wanted me to download some internet show that they have (about 11 minutes an episode) and it cost the same ($1.99) as an hour long episode of Lost or BSG.
