ppl be trippin over stupid stuff. he just said that it was a ACCIDENT that it costed money. red edition is free too! i paid 4 both. n i aint made outta money but if u actually like the game enough 2 buy a 360, then the game. whats 10$ gonna really do 2 ur bank account? n i dont even have a bank account! im 16! Im a fan of this rainbow 6 right here. only thing i wish 4 is new guns, but besides that this game is solid playability still... its been out like 4 monthes n ppl sayin its gettin old already? they talkin bout a game gettin old cus its been out 5 monthes so they'll buy a new game that costs 60$ n might suck instead of stayin 2 a game they already know is good. n by the way. the obvious reason why they have these red, black, n etc. packs coming out is because of new releases like grand theft auto and halo3. r6 would be no competition if they didnt have new maps and etc. to keep ppl playing its games

The R6V main site says that they will release both packs for free, reimbursing those that paid for them. Black pack will be free tomorrow (30th). Whereas the Red pack will be free on the 4th I think.

just got off the phone with xbox live and they told me everyone will be getting a refund for the black map pack because when they put it back up next week it will be a free download. they also said as of July 6th the red pack will be free!!

Well as I expected after being on the phone with a MS and a MS level 3 Tech supervisor, the Black Edition Map Pack had Problems with the maps. They are being worked on and will be available sometime next week. What those problems were or are they did not say So as I have stated before I do not trust nor rely on the word of MS supervisors what-so-ever. Or any supervisor, period.

A level 2 tech supervisor told me Wed, they would be back out on late Wed. or Thurs. So the stories about glitches in the maps is very simple and apparent to me if you read between the lines, UBISoft released a product that had problems with it to begin with. The maps were not out long enough for people to figure out glitches. The only problem that I see is that the programmmers and the designers put the spawns for all maps except streets in the same general areas.

Well done once again UBISoft. As for the DLC being Free. Well I guess we live in a pass the buck society, as MS said that they did state that all DLC would be Free to XBox live subscribers, but when asked why we are still now paying for it, no answer was give why. It again as I have stated before, it is not about the money as it is about the promise given. It is a matter of principal. If you are going to announce that DLC is going to be FREE to all XBoxLive subscribers then that should be policy. If not then don't say anything all.

I guess we'll all have to wait until next week to see what happens so that those of us who have it can re-download it again, and those that want to get it will be able to get it and download it too. The only thing I hate is getting and paying for a faulty product that in my opinion should have never been released until it was complete. Oh I forgot we are talking about UBISoft, lol. The choice is up to the individual and where your loyalty lies. But once again a broken promise from MS as well. A broken promise and mis-information.

Only time will tell guys. If you have the time to wait and see then so be it. Whether you get the Black Edition or not is up to you. Whatever the decision, Happy gaming all! Hopefully I'll see you on and play with you all on the Black Edition Map paks! Happy Hunting!

I was able to download it but I purchased it purely for co-op with my friends. Problem is, none of my friends were able to grab it in time, which means (so far) I spent the money for basically nothing.

Well 2 days have gone by and as usual listening to xboxlive supervisors information on why the Black Edition was taken down and that it would be back up either Wed. or Thurs and now it is Friday and still no Black Edition back in the marketplace.

I am currently on the phone with a xboxlive supervisor. I also amd trying to see why they have not kept there word on the DLC being free for exbox live members and the real reason why RB6V Black Editionwas pulled from the marketplace. Details will follow. I wouldn't hold my breath on what supervisors say but hey I'm trying to shed some light on this as we are the consumer, we are the ones who pay these people's salaries.

It's not about the money it's a matter of principal.
