Larry, is peter going to be more clear about this 3 year warranty. Not all defects in the 360 over the warranty give 3-RED LIGHTS! Some graphics problems, DVD drive issues..show but don't necessarily give the conditions.

I think its really great that MS listen to there customers but its important to cover all areas of the 360 in the warranty.

I can't believe how much hostility is being directed at Shadowrun. First off, this argument that is has no single player portion is getting old, fast. Many PC games have been online only for years now and many people only buy FPS titles for the multiplayer portion anyway. The FPS genre is plagued with games that have some crappy bolted on online mode (Prey, The Darkness etc) which people only give any attention to because of the lure of achievements.

As for the price, how many people moaned that Tomb Raider was only ten hours (or less) or Crackdown or the single player portion of Gears? I've had Shadowrun since launch and it's already one of my most played games, I would estimate well over twenty hours of play so far and I would expect there to be at least another twenty hours left before I start getting bored. Unless people are seriously suggesting a game that doesn't feature both an online and single player should be cheaper, it's a ridiculous argument.

As for the actual game, the maps range from good to sublime, the weapon and class balancing is only equalled by Halo, the community for the most part is very friendly and best of all, it's providing a new twist on the FPS genre. As anyone who has played the game for any reasonable amount of time will attest, the game features an unrivalled amount of ways to play, just when you think you've found the best setup and approach to a map, you work out a completely new tactic.

The game also features a party system and match-making, two things missing from just about every 360 title thus far. There's also the cross-platform element as well.

It makes me wonder why so many people on here are bitching about the game, most of whom I suspect have never even played the game. Funnily enough, nearly everyone who has actually played it (and thus can actually make a fair judgement on the game) seems to love it, strange that...

It's because Gears is a system sellar and many old players and a lot of new players play that game first. When you see the videos on TV or store displays you know that is the game you are going to get first with your $300-480 purchase.

And Shadowrun is great. A price drop may or may not help as people always talk they would buy something but end never doing it.

And for my two centers, what is up with Texas Hold Em and Cloning Clyde still not in the top ten of Xbox Live Arcade? They have Play and Win contests going and they are still lacking popularity.

Gears of war - still top after 7 months. I just cant get my head around that. Most all of people on my friends list stopped playing ages ago. I loved gears - but there just isnt that much life in it. Not least because there so few online modes.

I would rather pay $60 for a multiplayer only game that I could get plenty of play time in rather than short single player only games that suck and are $60. There are plenty of them and people play them for some reason. Oh wait they play for the achievements i forgot.

hey major i think it would be nice if you got a hold of people in charge of the sports games and find out why they don't care about giving roster updates since the 360 launch. I for one don't want to drop $60 a year to get active rosters, and I don't buy them anymore really, if they don't care about us, I don't care about their (ea's) sports games anymore.
