With all the people upset that video marketplace was not worldwide...well they announced this fall it comes to Canada and Europe!!!! Major you should make a seperate post on this one item....you khow how many complained....now its time for them to realize you heard them and there getting it.....please make sure you let your community know Major...

Regional Content is just one more way that we in the UK get crapped on, IMHO .... Seems we have to pay more for our gaming at every turn, but the USA people get way more for their dollar. Bungie also don't seem to care much for us in the EU, they want to charge me $92 postage on an 8 ounce t-shirt from Bungie Gear. :s

To date the majority of HD-DVD movies were also available for download via Marketplace. I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop and Disney content to be available on HD-DVD. Disney is leaving a lot of money on the table by only supporting Blu-ray. The should be able to do a lot more inovative stuff on HD-DVD than they have with Blu-ray. The extra content on the second Pirates movie leaves a lot to be desired. Hook up Disney movies to the power of HD-DVD and its ability to download content and better interaction and you have a big win on your hands.

This is a great win for Microsoft. It also signals that Moviebeam, in which Disney is a partner in, is not doing well. As a shareholder in MSFT and DIS this is a big win in my mind.

Good job on getting Disney onboard. The Brothers Grimm has been on my to watch list for sometime now. The HD version of Deja Vu is tempting. Primeval & Sky High too.

I hope Microsoft are busy on getting video marketplace ready for non-U.S. regions. I was hoping they would announce something about it at E3 but I guess not.

Alot of non-U.S. users are getting pretty frustrated with all the extra content the U.S. has over other regions. Free games (Aegis Wings), Free Movies (Austin Powers) Free Themes and Picture Packs (Countless numbers of these.) Achievement Point prize give aways...

Obviously it's understandable that it would launch and be tested in the U.S. but Microsoft has had alot of time to bring this to everyone else now. Remember everyone pays the same subscription fee but those in the U.S. are getting a TON more content. Infact most other regions pay more than the U.S. for their subscriptions.

This is a great coup as HD DVD does not have Disney movies but now HD DVD player owners can get HiDef Disnney content via the video marketplace.

They are all in HD, Peter Moore said it at the Microsoft briefing.
