Maybe its just me but Ive never trusted the Live weekly stats....without some sort of proof the numbers just appear to be MS making it up as they go along.

Shadowrun will live again once the price is lowered or it gets more FREE content. Comon $60 for no SP, 16 player MP with 9 maps,WTF. Bring free content for Shadowrun. Counter Strike and Rainbow six 3 have been in the lists for 3 1/2 years, woot woot. It shows people still loving those games

To everyone wishing for Shadowrun to return: Shadowrun's time has come and gone. The second bug fix patch isn't going to motivate people who haven't bought the game to go get it now. FASA continually dodges the topic of DLC. Having seen the stripped down interface of Games for Windows Live (one blade, no marketplace, no place to spend points on or even get to any DLC), plus having a basic knowledge of economics, I feel confident in saying don't hold your breath waiting for DLC. The only way I can see Shadowrun coming back is if they drop the price on it within the next two weeks. If they don't drop the price before the late summer/early fall titles start hitting the shelves, I suspect to see Shadowrun fall off the top 200 on VGChartz completely. It's already slid to 72, selling only 201 more copies than Dead Rising during the week ending 14 Jul.

This blog gets really repetitive, it should just be renamed Marketplace Content blog starring Major Nelson. I'd really like to see more from Major Nelson's blog, if I were to redo it content wise here's what a would do. 1.A sidebar that lists new content with links to read more (don't make a post on your main page for every new piece of content). 2.More photos, make the flickr major nelson photos a daily thing and focus on what Major Nelson did that day, add some of your personal techie life like what kinda phone you got or laptop or camera your looking for. 3.Scale back the content announcements 99.9%, make it a minor thing that you annnounce (only the big stuff) on your podcast. Only make posts that contain the following 3 things which probably most readers care to read. 1.Interviews with big game developers (Bioshock, MGS, Bungie or Bioware), and any related content like photos or video. 2.Announcements that are big, adding a certain franchise to the video marketplace or new Xbox 360 exclusive. 3.What a day in the life of Major Nelson is like at work and as a techie otherwise (using gadgets, people actually liked hearing about that stuff). That right there would be content gold those three things, just AX everything else. Right now I feel like I'm viewing a ton of content ads to read a true Major Nelson post.
