Reqarding the US only thing. The reason why Miscrosoft XBOX/360 fails/failed in Japan is because Microsoft simply don't have a business model for any other country apart from themselves, or dont give the impression they care about anything outside of America.

The only reason why the 360 did ok in the UK is because they are similar markets.

@AnEternalEnigma: Thats the exact reason that a company's arrogance can breed competition ... they ignore/disenchant an entire market, no matter how niche. Before you know it, some firm comes along to provide for that market.

Its great isn't it, the U.S.A. puts on the comic con where every comic publisher, film company and many of the games companies promote their new products and holds seminars and Q&A sessions with the big players from each repective industry, you get promo items, con exclusives and premieres of all kinds of cool stuff.

To counter this the U.K. gets an event in Wales with the most people ever seen on space hoppers and a custard pie fight.

and people wonder how we lost the empire.

thank god for my international subscription to Wizard or I might have had to pop open a vein on this one.

Getting a US account DOES NOT fix the problem. You cannot buy US content when connected to a none-US ISP, period. They added that little feature in the Spring dash update.

While I see the reason they did that and thats fair enough, it just gives us more argument for getting that European content flowing. They keep promising it and failing to deliver and while I have better things to think about (well it is a GAMES console after all and theres plenty of those) it is frustrating to see content I would like to watch release to US only. Its particularly silly as often that same content is available worldwide if you search the web hard enough, just not over Xbox Marketplace which is my preferred method.

Every now and then I like to make myself into an a-hole and talk about the problems with DRM in topics that have nothing to do with it... it seems to be something that gets ignored after a brief uproar but getting so many of us whose consoles were replaced (not repaired) un-screwed should be your #1 priority. Pass it on.

Wave 4 Wave was an awesome event, shame we didn't get the water balloon record, but it was great fun anyway. Nice dramatic video.
