When I first saw this I used timeanddate.com to convert it into my time zone, and by what the site read, I should still have two hours to get in on the sale. But I don't; I just got back from my trip to find the games at regular price and the times on here switched to GMT.

Sweet!! Microsoft should do stuff like this on more titles. Retail games have price drops all the time and I think XBLA games should get a similar treatment.

There's nothing like giving enough notice for this sort of thing - and that was nothing like it.

I didn't see one ad on my 360 for this event, nothing! How are we supposed to take advantage of these price reductions when we don't know about them?

Perhaps an xbox.com mailout would have been a good idea.

Yes, you can go to a friend's house & purchase the content. Better still, the content will be activiated for all accounts on his box, and you'll still be able to play as long as you're signed in on yours. Note, you'll probably have to do a "recover gamertag" when you get your box back, but that will update the DRM license list on your box with the addition of the new games you bought.

My XBox is also in for repair... is there any way to take advantage of this without my own XBox? Can I use a friend's console and sign in with my live account and buy the games? Then download them to my system (already paid for) when I get it?

I think all the XBLA games should get permanent price drops after 1-2 years old. There are lots of XBLA games I will only get if the price drops on them because I don't think most of the full prices are fair. That being said I don't really like this sale selection very much because I definately would have picked up a few others at half off no problem. Although I appreciate the kind gesture and I'll consider getting one of them, I think I would rather save my points for map packs or something. $10 for bomberman is the only arcade game that I actually felt was well worth the money I spent so far.
