Darn, and I already bought it a long while back. Oh well, the game has been out almost a year now and in addition to the price drop we get new skins and content. Too sweet! :-)

This game was horribly over priced, yet I bought it anyway. It would be nice if they would make all the add on free, for those of us who overpayed, but anyways.....

I am just posting everywhere I can about this. So Major Nelson seemed logical too. I just got off the phone with xbox customer support. They now have my 5th xbox and I am awaiting xbox number 6! When I called in for the repair I asked the lady "Mary" as we will call her... "What is microsoft going to do to make this right for me?" She told me "We will send out your new console the day after we receive your broken one, I am also going to do something special for you. I am going to have the repair center send you an xbox 360 elite for your troubles." Well anyone that has dealt with customer support knows they LIE their asses off to get you off the phone. This time was no different. I am on my 6th xbox.... just waisted $130 on the legendary edition for Halo3 and only got to play a few days before my 5th xbox crapped out on me. So here I am 2 days after the repair center got my xbox and NO word from Microsoft... THANKS for ripping me off microsoft... and congratulations on Loosing a customer that bought just about every piece of crap you put out. The Camera, the messenger pad(x2), 4 controllers for my xbox and 4 more for my Wife's xbox. A price drop is good - heck, it made me buy it - but the booster packs need a drop as well. 600 points each? That's highway robbery. They should be half that.

Just wanted to say that even though I owned Lumines, Lumines II, and Lumines Plus, I wouldn't have bought this if it wasn't for the price drop.

The game is great, unlike II and Plus. The only few problems are lack of suspend/sleep mode and the song progression.

1200 points was well worth it for lumines - Ive played this game so much and enjoyed every minute of it. So 800 points is even better. To all the people who are moaning that they paid 1200 and now want a refund of the difference. Come on! People bought this game on the PSP and paid alot more. This is one of the most addictive puzzle games since tetris! Games get cheaper in bargin bins when they age. So why not arcade games. I bought tiger woods 07 last year for £44.99 but i saw it in a shop for £20. Shall i moan that i want the difference back. Come on grow up! This is how economy works in media sales. look at DVDs and music CDs.

It is cool, but the complaints stem more than just the pricing issue. This game is the poster child for botched micro-transaction releases. MS & Q Entertainment advertised this product as something more than just a simple port of PSP/PS2 version. In the game industry your game design document has a 'unique selling point' and that USP for Lumines Live was advertised as playing music video skins with it from well known artist. Namely it was orignially advertised showing it off with a Madonna video while playing and promising some other big artists as well.

So where is this Artist Pack again that was promised a few times a year ago by both Q and the Xbox marketing site?

The price drop is cool but I already bought it when it launched so it doesn't effect me.

Anyone who REALLY likes Lumines will tell you that the original price was WELL worth it. In fact my ONLY objection is Lumines with the addons comes in pretty close to the price of Lumines II on PSP and its got far less skins. That said, it has 5.1 sound and just plays a hellova lot better on 360 in my opinion, the PSP just isn't close to as much fun.

So basically, it WAS worth the price but I was a little disappointed to see that even with all the addons its still a smaller game than Lumines II.

All games drop in price in time. It's been that way for the entire history of video games.
