NPD reports the xbox 360 as the most un-reliable elctronic product ever created as 90% of owners have broke.

I was curious what these numbers were going to look like, and while not suprised to much I have to say I am still astonished. Cngrats to MS on a great month. Should be a good holiday season as well.

The Xbox 360 will aways be the best. Sure they had some techinal problems but they fixed that and all 360's now have a three waritney and and the 90 mm heating chips have chips have been replaced with the 65 mm chips wich heating chips which are more reliable and we got halo 3, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Assains Creed, Call Duty Modern Warfare, Project Origen, Legendary Pandoras Box, Fable 2 and I will atmit a lot of these titles are also on the PS3 but a least there not only on the PS3.

Halo 3 is the best game ever made, in my opinion. That graphics are the best I have ever seen on the Xbox 360, especially the Scarab tank battles!

Though I still won't purchase the system until the faulty hardware is addressed, it is clear that X360 is THE console to own this gen. It has the games, the right support, the features and with sales like this, the staying power. Wii is bought in bulk by retirement homes and PS3 is withering away. Hopefully the whole red ring issue will go away soon.

wow, this site really does brag about things that dont matter much.if xbox 360 had been selling as well as it did when it came out, this 500k crap wouldnt even be mentioned. its not like its the first time xbox 360 has gone over 500k.so why celebrate it?and so what if xbox 360 has the best lineup in 07?its got nothing after that.u guys gotta look for the future, not the past, cuz i think halo 3 is pretty much done selling now.everybody already has it and if it only boosted 360 sales by that little, then there is no way 360 will go over 25 million units.i think the ps3 has more titles to look forward to now that halo 3 is already out and microsoft has nothing good in 08 and 09.it will probably end up being all the consoles ending up with 25 million units at the end of the generation and the DS and the PSP selling over 200 million.

So the Xbox 360 outsold the Wii for once.. That's great, but I think the biggest victory MS is having is they lead bigtime in software sales (not just in September but almost every month).. Sure, the Wii will probably keep pushing hardware, but how many games is it selling? And how many non-Nintendo games? The fact Metroid Prime only sold 167K shows most Wii-buyers are not true gamers that buy a lot of real games..

Nice numbers but you SERIOUSLY NEED TO DRUM THEM IN EUROPE. Sorry for being capstastic, but people in spain, italy, germany and france actually BELIEVE the PS3 is winning the next-gen war hands-down and is MILES better in every respect than the 360.

MS HAS DONE A HORRIBLE JOB at educating and informing the EUROPEAN CONSUMER.

Dang if the nay-sayers are strong today! Numbers are numbers and this month they are facts. Halo 3 cometh and kicketh ass. End of story.

This bodes very well for the gaming industry. Number like these make the world notice that games are not a kids thing anymore. Couple to that the recent news that Hollywood is fearful of people playing games instead of watching craptastic movies and you have now the almost official birth of Video Games as a legitimate, dare I say mainstream form of entertainment...

Kudos to MS for pulling it off this time. Will you be able to keep it up in months to come? We will wait and see...

Yeah boast about it why not. The sad truth is, it will probably never get better than that September' 07 for the XBox 360 for the rest of it's days.

Having a killer app like Halo 3 is both good and bad, the bad being it makes everyone's next expectations so high!

Content is kind and Microsoft continues to dominate in gaming content gamers want to play.

Even with SOny's new $399 PS3 launching for christmas, they still don't have squat to play on it. Unless you want a cheap Linux computer or cheap BluRay player, there's still no reason to buy a PS3 even at a $100 price drop!
