So much for a fall update. The silence is deafening about that thing - I've been checking on here religiously for the last month now and not a peep from anyone on what/when to expect it to drop.

ANY news at all, Major? Are we looking at an '08 update, no update at all, update soon? Toss us a freakin bone here man!

Does anyone listen to the HDTV podcast? On their lastest one, a Toshiba insider told them that Microsoft is secretly working with them on another version of the XBox 360 with a BUILT-IN HD-DVD drive. I specifically remember Microsoft strongly denying there ever will be an XBox 360 with a built-in HD-DVD drive. I guess we're being lied to once again (remember MS also told us that HDMI wasn't important or needed).

On a note, the CAD picture pack actually contains 20 gamerpics, and all of the pictures can be found on the latest news post at Ctrl-Alt-Delete.

Oh, I see. Ten comments per page no matter how long the post. Still this makes for a lot of pages sometimes. How about 25 or 30 per page?

Hey Major. Just a thought but... why do you have the whole post at the top of every page of comments? With a post like this there is only room for about six comments per page. I for one liked the old way of having one long page for all the comments, but if you are going to do it this way, maybe just have the initial post on page one, then only comments one the rest.

Sigh. Major Nelson, you really let me down by not giving us a heads up that there were free Halloween gamerpics and themes available yesterday only. Somehow I managed to get the free theme today by clicking on a banner but the gamerpics are nowhere to be found. Not that I would get much use out of them for another year anyway. Why not release things like this a week or so before so we decorate our 360s when we decorate our homes?
