They should have included these cars in the game. It's not like it's several months later. They should learn some things from Atari and Test Drive Unlimited.

re: Marketplace Roundup for November 13, 2007

"As for the rest of the world getting "ripped off" because they pay the same thing we do for Gold"

Actually the point is the rest of the world pays MORE for Gold and gets substantially less that's why preople are disgruntled. Also they pay substantially more for microsoft points (bought over xbox live even). Europe pay about 1/4 more for points and the UK pays 1/3 more.

That means for every 3 800 point arcade games someone in the UK buys they could have bought 4 800 point acade games if they spent that same money in the US. Of course the points are region locked but why such disparity when all people are buying is virtual points, not any actual product that is manufactured/shipped/marked up by retailers. You don't need region protection like dvd's, there's no copyright infringement going on with a string of letters and numbers.

Yes, they have a monopoly and can charge what they think people will pay but I'm just explaining why people feel "ripped off".

I realise that about silver should get all this stuff too. My point about not renewing my membership was more about why should i inject more money into a service which isn't providing me the same level of service as the USA gets just because i live in another country.

As for the rest of the world getting "ripped off" because they pay the same thing we do for Gold, well, once again it needs to be stated that the Marketplace is for EVERYONE (that means SILVER accounts as well). Gold membership lets you enjoy leaderboards and multiplayer, and has nothing to do with content you can download (unless it has something to do with online features, of course).

I realise that the reason why the USA gets all this exclusive content is that the publishers of it will only give you rights to release it in the USA... but surely to god... seeing as XBOX Live is a global product you should be trying to get these same companies to put stuff out for the global markets or at least alerting companies based in other regions to the distributive capabilities that Live has.

The world doesn't revolve around the USA. I mean seriously I feel that being in the UK my Live membership money doesn't nearly anywhere near enough get me the same user experience that I would get for the same in the USA. Hence why I haven't renewed my subscription and may not if this continues to happen.

I pay the same as the US members... I believe I should be treated the same.

I was on the fence about this game because it looks great and fun, but I'm with Louie on this one. I'll keep avoiding EA games as much as possible. And trust me, I buy a lot of games so it isn't a monetary issue. They are greedy and MS is obviously ok with complete rip-offs (they probably get a cut from them). I already know Major, "if it isn't for you, don't buy it", but this goes beyond just personal choice. What happened to cheat codes? MS is obviously allowing them to be present as DLC, rendering achievements for these games as a complete joke. You might as well sell 1000 gamerscore for 800 points. If we want to progress through the game faster, a different difficulty setting should be all we need. Don't sell a damn cheat code for 10 dollars and expect long time gamers who actually have expectations from games to be ok with it. In a way this is undermining their own work because they give you the option to experience the game in a way that doesn't add any sort of challenge. But hell, perhaps they just don't care as long as they get you to give them more money for a game they keep rehashing every year.

EA and RedOctane have completly ignored our concerns in terms of DLC because they are making money from people who don't care or have too much money.
