Major, this has been a giant point on debate within the community. DivX support: yes or no?

Video codec support hints at it...but it's time to come clean.

Thats great that your going to offer the arcade hits at a reduced price, but my concern would be if the team found a better way to enumerate the games? I've bought a TON of the arcade titles (library currently sits at the mid 80's) and its overly annoying to have to sit there for 3 minutes while the list builds (same with gamerpics while we're on the subject of annoying load times), it needs to be cached and have an update script ran on the file when you download something new.

Anyone know if there's a way to update my XBox 360 offline? Maybe download the update and burn it on a CD/DVD? I really want that DivX codec for my XBox 360 but I don't have the internet. Thanks :)

I would like to be able to browse the xbox.com forums from the new inside xbox feature. Maybe ya'll can add that in the next update?

I appreciate the hard work that goes into updating the X-Box 360, and there be some goodies in this mix, arrh! (Random Pirate Comment). I do want to see Group Chat support and Clan Support as many others have stated. I'd also like to see that Video on Demand thing come to pass, or the ability to use my 360 as a "tivo" of sorts. But I like most of these updates. I have one question though. Why would they release the standard Fable instead of the Fable Lost Chapters version?? I would think about buying it but I'm afraid they will release Fable Lost Chapters later on and make me want to shoot myself in the foot. So until I hear if they ever plan to make the upgrade available, I will avoid Fable. Which is sad. It is one of my favorite games of all time and I'd love to have it right there on my hard drive for easy access. So for now, I suppose the only one I'll buy will be Psychonauts. A classic game that I regret trading in some time ago and I've been planning to add back to my collection.

Browser support would be awesome!, but I doubt it, unless it was a custom browser, but it would restrict downloads I am sure.

Color me unimpressed. That isn't saying these are bad features just that when it gets built up for 6 months it is tough to meet expectations.

(This applies to games loaded after the update; unfortunately, previously-played trial games will still be listed.)" What? Are you kidding? Is it really that hard to work out which XBLA games you've played are trials only? I can understand that they might be physically difficult to remove (it sounds like in the future they aren't added to the list) so just have a hide them feature which can be optionally selected. "Only show XBLA games that you have bought: Yes/No" Is that hard?

any idea whether your tech guys managed to fix the annoying bug - introduced half a year ago - which turned the dashboard and games green if one used the RGB-SCART cable in conjunction with an NTSC Xbox 360?

I don't recall anyone ever asking for much else since the launch of the console, that all we see in a half year is the ability to look at someone else's friends list and watch Divx movies (I've been doing that for years on PC's it's nothing new).

Major, the dashboard team needs a kick in the ***, Coders for home brew projects on PC or other formats knock out updates like this in 2 weeks. What have the team been up to?!

The apparent continued lack of clan support (considering the clan communities built around Halo 2) for 360 games is really disappointing. I don't see Halo 3 having the same longevity now that game based clans are no longer available. I really believe Bungie and Microsoft have dropped the ball on this particular point if either one really thinks that clan support is not an important feature for many groups of "specific game" based 360 gamers.

Time for a petition I think. Some market research people at MS have got it wrong big time if they think clan support is of no interest to a large segment of the 360 user base. Terrible.

Welp theres some good stuff in the new update, but not one big heavy hitter....its been mentioned before but its important enough to mention them again. Clan Blade, party chat, web browser (even if I dont want it the massess do). These 3 are probably the most wanted features and are no where to be seen. Just one of them would suffice for now. Since we only get a couple of updates a year you should attempt to give us one of the more wanted ones, and I dont think parental control and frineds/friends list are the most desired features around. Although I do like the idea of the "Inside Xbox" feature and hope it get used as much as possible. I'd also like to cast my vote towards the fast forward/rewind feature for music, I stream the MN podcast to my 360 and I would love to be able to fast forward and/or rewind sometimes.

LOL, Anon112 is defo a SONY fanboy, btw good job MS for the update that i hope will make my 360 a whole lot better. By the way, Anon112 does make a point about the 4 or more Private chat, please add this feature in please, it would have a great effect on the community for e.g A clan on Call of Duty 4 could use it while playing to communicate with each other without having to listen to non-english speaking players who are playing in an English room. But good job.

Does the xbox live team even listen to their customers? I mean I could care less about everything on that list except the "new video features". Xbox live community has been asking for clan update, 4 or more way voice chat, and other things that are more important to the community than xbox originals. Games that are 3 times the price if you buy them, having to wait for all the stuff to download, taking up valuable hard drive space, and are not updated at all. Biggest rip off I've ever seen. This is probably the worst update I've ever seen, bunch of useless features, and more ways for microsoft to "attempt" to rip people off.
