I very clearly remember a Microsoft employee (either you or somebody interviewed in OXM) saying that if Blu-Ray won then you (Microsoft) would support it. It's now pretty clear that Blu-Ray has won. Are you going to release a Blu-Ray player, or am I going to have to buy a PS3?

Eh, it's only 8:30 pm Central. That isn't so bad.

And if it's something happening live, I really do understand setting it to local time. 6:30 PST gives people time to have gotten a bite to eat before the show starts...

the one thing that bugs me about microsoft is everying is geared to pacific time, which is inconvenient to us here in the midwest, and probably really inconvenient in the eastern time zones. xbox live arcade games not available until 2 in the morning here in the midwest, 3 in the eastern, but a nice midnight for pacific time. it was especially annoying with the map packs launching at that late.

now ces is 8:30 at night, 9:30 in the east (on a sunday). couldn't you guys just do things over in the pacific zone a little earlier? show some love for parts of the country besides the pacific zone please!

Lol @ the people parading BRD/HDDVD as clear winner. Face the truth people, they don't even enter early adopter stage when you combine them. And why would it when they are so expensive compared to dvd? It's not like dvd's are suddenly unbearable. Both ms and sony can shuff their trojans up their happy place. Come back when either format offers a good player for a 100€ and films for 5-10€.

If people where smart they would watch and wait to see if Blu ray or HD go all the way

i feel sorry for all the people who completely wasted there hard earned cash on the loser

i wont be switching until they take standard dvds off the shelf. i have spent to much money on that as is.

stop buying HD and Blu ray!! neither one is guaranteed to be around.

MAJ N great to hear you are having fun at CES, but us that are left to play XBOX 360 would rather hear about what is being done to fix the ongoing issues. Microsoft support says it is up and running but I can tell you that there are thousands if not hundred of thousands who are deeply disappointed in Microsoft and their handling of this issue. Gold Memebers" PAYING" will get a aracade game, big whoop. Silver Memebers "NON PAYING" get the same benefit. Once the major news networks get a whiff of this, then MS will take it serious. Maybe we all should shoot CNN a email with how we are being treated.

Seriously, Live is bullshit. I almost regret paying for such a foul service, and you guys do nothing more than give us a free XBLA-Title? C'mon? Like Texas Hold'em? And, all the silver-users will get it too? C'mon? Pay some respect to your paying costumers perhaps? Sure, 3-4 bucks ain't the problem, it's the fact that we WANT to play online, but can't that is.

Step the fudge up and fix this bullshit, and.. while you're at it Larry, why don't put in 1 or 2 Dedicated servers? Live is slow but steady morphing into a big piece of shite.

Happy CES, We payed your ticket.. you know.

a) 2:30 est .. goin down again.. like clockwork. =/ which makes me think it might be an attack .. rather than just a cronjob you havent located .. because, you've got to have located it by now, right? ;D

b) if it IS an attack, let us gamers know. even though ms's policy Im sure is to never divulge if they're being attacked because it adds to the packetkids credibility while tarnishing microsoft's. in fact, im pretty sure most of us would laugh if microsoft.com was hacked and replaced with some graffiti. but live is a different story. live is where we play.

if some unscrupulous fellows decide to attack it.. im sure the community of live has its own unscrupulous fellows. just tell them where to point the 'counter attack' as it were.

in other words, normal MS policy doesnt apply. we expect MS to get attacked, we dont expect live to come under fire. not only will users be sympathetic to live getting attacked, they'll attack back if they have the means.

(hey, there's an antitrust law ms can violate in the future ;D a botnet of 'return fire' coded into every 360.. i pity the ips that take on the ms zombie-gamer-net.)
