Wheres the Led Zeppelin, The WHO, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Heck even gives us Rage Against the Machine, TOOL, nine inch nails, Slipknot. That's the DLC not this "Bubble Gum" crap

@Sergeant Shelby: OK, so the Monkees are a fake band. And Blink-182 has so much artistic credibility? Stop being a rock snob... besides, when it gets covered, it's not an issue of the Monkees. Whether or not the Monkees wrote that song, it's a catchy little pop tune. And yeah, we need some Zappa in this game... which I'd DL after the DRM issues are sorted out by MS.

I don't mean to start a riot over who's more metal than who, but yeah... Megadeth's more metal than anyone mentioned in this thread so far.

My point was these COVER tracks are just not cutting it. Maiden and Sabbath are among the heaviest (at least as far as mainstream metal is concerned) but some originals in the metal category are badly needed. And I won't go into further discussion of Metallica.

With the 3 songs on this months issue of OXM, these songs bring the total number of songs in Rock Band to 102!!

You guys are all on drugs this is awesome BLINK 182!! I have been waiting forever for this. They dont need more heavy metal songs... those are gay and not fun to play anyways. How about we get more songs like this. You people that think they need more heavy metal need to stop playing rockband anyways those songs are NOT fun!

It's nice to see that they're offering songs from a variety of different eras and genres of music instead of just focusing on music from the last couple decades!

Why do people from the UK come here to complain? Don't you have anything else to do? Blink is a nice surprise and it's not a cover song. Definite Purchase for me. Great Job Harmonix on your weekly releases. This is just Amazing!

Um - Metalicca, Maiden & Black Sabbath aren't metal, but Megadeth, Anthrax & Dio are? You obviously are using some criterion that escapes me (and the team at Harmonix) in figuring out what "metal" is.

Black Sabbath = No

Former Black Sabbath lead singers = Yes

Suuuuuuure..... I mean, I like "Holy Diver" as much as the next guy, but its hard to explain why that's metal but "Run to the Hills" isn't.

I'd love to see more hard rock/metal in the DLC, but I'm sure its coming. Where is the AC/DC, for example? This game is practically screaming for it.

Squid, Since the Monkees broke up and they recorded their music over a decade before they kept recordings of separated tracks in archive, its impossible for them to make the file to put on Rockband. They need to be able to separate all of the tracks in the audio. But I'm sure more original music will pop-up once more artists get involved.
