I tried downloading Undertow this morning & had to re-try twice because Live was having issues yet again.

1st off, something I forget to say last post I made becuse I was rushed. I feel that the free game is fine for silver members, but for gold, 2 months free added to whatever is left on there year. Photolysis you are wrong on that. Silver members do pay. A good 99.9% of the stuff on the service costs. I am getting on for free, but if I was to download anything I have to pay. So I am giveing MS money. Now if XBL was down for a day, ok no problem, but they where down for almost 2 weeks. I had only a week of down time. So I could not use any of the MS points I pay for.

I don't know what they are doing in other regions for users who had already purchased Undertow, but here in Korea they credited me 800 MS Points, which is certainly fair enough, IMHO. Oddly, they have not publicized the Undertow giveaway in Korea and seemed very suspicious when I called, asking several times how I'd heard about it. I suspect they are intentionally keeping it quiet. And, of course, given the fact that MS releases hardly any Live Arcade titles in Korea, there's not much worthwhile to spend MS Points on...

I THINK THAT A VERSION OF THE ORIGINAL PERFECT DARK WOULD BE BETTER THEN GOLDENEYE 007 AND COME TO THINK OF IT BETTER THAN PD ZERO , BUT DONT GET ME WRONG GOLDENEYE WAS A GREAT GAME,BUT WITH NINTENDO IN THE DRIVING SEAT IN THE TALKS BETWEEN THE TWO AND PUSHING FOR VIRTUAL EXCLUSIVITY IT DOSENT SEEM LIKELY THAT IT WILL COME TO LIVE ARCADE, PERHAPS A VERSION OF PERFECT DARK WOULD BE MORE SUITED TO LIVE ARCADE ALL MICROSOFT WOULD HAVE TO DO IS GIVE THE ORDER. this sucks quite honestly

yes its a good game but why not really apologise to us and give us a new release for free, one that so many people hadn't already bought, for example Rez HD or Omega Five

and for those of you begging for Goldeneye on XBLA (GuiltySparkHALO) stop whining when its probably never gonna happen, it was an N64 exclusive and hasn't even been released on the Wii's virtual console so why, oh why would Nintendo just hand it over to Microsoft to remake and slap on an Xbox????

I hope I can even download it. The live problems still kick up every once in a while for me. Like 85% fixed.

I just would have been happy with an honest apology about the service of Xbox live lately, a promise that the service would be supplied as paid for and expected in future and that we would all be informed more accurately of the status of live. I don't think Microsoft have been honest with their conduct of late in regards to live and are still obviously having problems with it but are continuing to not inform their customers.

This really isn't honest compensation as the service has impacted on many that don't follow this site and have perhaps been apathetic but they deserve compensation also. You all see what I mean? Any reputable company would contact their customers that have experienced difficulties and would compensate regardless of complaint or not. That is the way companies in the NOW treat their customers. I Microsoft don't track time out errors or console error codes to determine who should be compensated then they should just compensate everyone.

I would love to post something positive on this site and support the console , games and service I have invested in but Microsoft isn't giving me much to support lately. My automated subscription is looking highly in doubt!

my dashboard as been stuck spinning all day whats goin on here xbox live is rediculous the past month.how would i be able to go to marketplace to download the game if im stuck on the spinning loading screen.

Actually, this is MUCH cheaper for Microsoft.

I knew that whatever compensation we would get would be 'opt-in.' As in, you have to say you want the compensation. If MS gave everyone a free month or 800 MSP, SO many users would just be like 'how did that get there? oh well, I'm not complaining.'

With this, only people who read this site, xbox.com, gamerscore blog, or one of the many Xbox fansites will know about it. And the people who have midterms this week (me included) might not sign on, if they don't know about it.

I'm still wondering about my situation as I just suffered the red ring of death. My console was sent out on Friday to the repair center. Don't think it'll be here before the end of the free download. I've already tried customer service and they had no idea.
