Its a sad day when a rehash of CoD 2 takes the multiplayer throne from a game that actually attempts to do something innovative (Halo 3). I suppose it just proves that Xbox360 owners are all underage fucktards. Fucktards who can't even see the mediocrity that is CoD4. Why is the gaming business so full of crappy shooters and rehashes? If you think CoD4 > Halo 3, then you are part of the problem. Forge, Saved Films, Campaign Scoring, Good co-op, thats what Halo is. Not GOTY necessarily, but still a good game. Scripted Sequences, horrible AI that never ever fucking changes pattern, more scripted sequences, and a supposedly balanced multiplayer but i guess getting killed in 2-5 shots means 'balance.' I'm a PS3 owner, and even I, with my personal bias against Halo 3, see it as the superior game. Halo 3 > Call of Duty 2: New SKINS and ranked multiplayer and even more blatantly scripted events. CoD4 is not the refinement of the FPS, its the refinement of in-game cinematics

2007 was a great year for games on the Xbox-360. There are still games that I have on my 'must have' list that I haven't played yet.

Good to see a lot of non-shooters on the Top 10 List.

i say great job infinity ward hope they can keep multi player goning as good as bungie has shown they can. but i do think halo 3 will be back on top where it will stay until gears of war 2 hit live!!!!!

Why do you people care so much who's in first? Fanboys are so dumb. If you like CoD4, go play it and enjoy it. If you like Halo3, go play it and enjoy it.

To feel so threatened by another game's popularity really makes videogamers look like a bunch of morons.

Wow, I never really look at these things, but I saw on engadget that COD beat out Halo and had to double check. Kind of odd considering how many more copies of Halo were sold - although Cod did sell more in december. It might of had something to do with the post christmas rush. Eveybody and their mom already owned halo, but alot of people probably got cod as a gift.

ok, so call of duty takes the lead.

I'm bored of that game, too easy and takes like no skill, just get an M16 with a grenade launcher with deep impact and its the equivilent of god mode...

plus, with the influx of little kids boosting the total users, it was only a matter of time, now every match I get into there is some anoying little kid.

thats why I origionally played the game, no little kids
