Alright, I have been wanting to get Black and Ninja Gainden for a while. My local Walmart has been selling Black for $20 for the past year now. Just about two weeks ago, I finally decide to buy it, and when I get to the store, they are all gone. Glad Xbox Live fixed that problem. :)

I know there are alot of complaints about the Xbox Originals, but there are two minor advantages I can think of... 1. Load times are shorter because the game is loaded from the hard drive rather than the DVD drive. 2. The 360 runs more quietly because the DVD drive isn't being accessed. Of course, many of these games could be purchased for less on ebay, but I would wager most would be in very USED condition. I am very much in favor of purchasing games digitally. I have no need for discs or boxes, and avoiding trade-ins is better for the game makers and better for me.

I just bought Crimson Skies on half.com today for $2.50 ($5 with shipping) and since NGB is still really expensive everywhere I'll just get that for $15 on Live when it comes out. I don't mind paying $20 for 2 great games

I wonder what's the point making XBox Originals US-only. I mean, start blocking the Arcade games as well, leave us completely in the dark instead of giving us the very little hope to be able to download the new and neat stuff.

I'm not saying it would be easy for them to add achievements to the originals, I'm saying that if they expect us to pay them an extra buck out of the kindness of our hearts, and then deal with their horrific DRM policy, they should give us something extra in return. As it stands, Xbox Originals are simply a -bad- deal. When most of these games become rare [not for a long time now], then maybe it'll be different.

I'm not seeing the point of buying these when it is still possible to find them in a store or online somewhere for a lot cheaper, & at least if your 360 dies, you wouldn't be affected by the stupid DRM policy since you would have a hard copy of the game

as far as the lack of achievments, its not like the live team can go & add the lines of code necessary without permission of the creators of the game

I'm sure you can get gamer pics of Gaiden when Ninja Gaiden 2 comes out in april for 360... As far as the achievements, why don't people understand that it requires modifying original source code? It's not like someone can wave a wand and write hours of code into the program. It's not going to happen people, for an OLD GAME. Companies aren't going to reopen their source code and change it just for this. Not to mention these games are EMULATED. They're not even written for the 360! Now if you want to complain about something.. Where the heck is my web browser? I have a wireless chatpad, I have an HDTV that runs at 1024x768, I have a console made by the company that makes the worlds most popular web browser, I have a 3.2 GHz console... why can't I browse the web?

Buying content is frustrating

My Xbox died.... I bought a new one, now i must be logged to live to play the arcade games...no solution given by MS :(((((((

And my kids can't play with their gamertag :(

Now even the promotion Refer a friend is not working well here in Portugal... I only received 1 promo code!! not the 10... and there's lot's of ppl saying the same on Portuguese forums...no word from MS till now

I have 20+ games and a few arcade titles.. almost every addon to the console... and this little things like DRM and "wrong promotion" are turning me to sell it all ... dunno if i'll hang to it... just dunno

You guys obviously don't realise how much code is necessary to implement things like "award the player after killing three guys in a row while he's picking his nose". It's just not possible to put this in games that are YEARS old without touching the original code, which no one would do. These are the games from a few years back, but playable on Xbox 360 now - nothing more, nothing less.

Pirates won't be available in Germany, though, because of a bug in the German GUI of the game (d'oh!). Confirmed by Germany's Xbox product manager Boris Schneider-Johne.
