You've got 24 million customers who you've given the middle finger to in favour of 800,000 Japanese customers. That's a pretty disgusting attitude to take with your loyal fanbase.

The demo was fully in English with the game's title being RESIDENT EVIL and not BIOHAZARD, SO THERE IS NO REASON why this demo should not have been released.

Like I said, thanks for screwing me over. The customer who buys 3-4 games a month over a Japanese customer who only buys a game when it's a Tales or Square-Enix title.

That was Cold Microsoft, why did you have to make the demo a corrupted file, when it played perfectly fine in english, release the dang demo in the US already!!!!!

Here-here. I say the same. Being and ex-subscriber to PC Gamer mag of 1995 until 1997, that mag was demo heaven. I used to play demos just for he heck of it, even if I was not interested in the game itself. Now I only play for intent to purchase the full version. Luckily I know the full games are much better than the demos of Soul Calibur IV, Street Fighter II HD Remix

Can you at least run, flail and shoot? Like in Gears of War? Well, the good thing I heard is that you do separate from your partner at sometime in the game. I'm going to buy this one as a single player, not a 2 player co-op, otherwise it will leave a bad taste in my co-op gaming. Co-Op is a HUGE SELL Ticket on my list, depending on the game.

Nope, just finished downloading and when you try to run the demo you get a nice new error message:

"This discs region code is incorrect for this console".

Ah well.

I can confirm I have just recovered my Japanese gamertag I set up recently for this demo and the demo is now downloading as I speak.

I no longer get the error message saying the content is unavailable in my region, etc.

you can get it out of japan if you look on the internet hard enough. and its totally legal since its a demo and you don't need a modded xbox.

i downloaded it and played it off a CDRW. i read that apparently demos aren't copyrighted in the same way games are and so there is nothing wrong about sharing a demo online. it's a fun game and just as funny that it's even called resident evil 5 and there is no mention of biohazard anywhere. like everyone else said, just like re4 but i really can't get past the fact that you can't walk while in aiming mode. thats a deal breaker for me.

Everyone needs to stop feeling as though Microsoft or whoever has let them down. First of all, it's a demo, it will come out in other places sooner or later. And secondly, it's probably some marketing strategy by Microsoft to get more people in Japan interested in the 360. So stop being impatient and just wait. And if you can't do that, do what others are doing and download the demo on the net and burn it onto a CD. Seriously, it's easy and fast.

I simply do not see the point of this. Resident Evil has been a predominantly Western focused franchise, yet, we get the golden Capcom shaft when it comes to the demo.

Surely, with the release date being pretty much simultaneous we would get the demo at the same point.

I guess not.
