Wow, some people just aren't informed... I hate when people don't know things that are so obvious. The multiple accounts thing is true but he's over exaggerating. About half the people on my friend's list have at least 2 accounts but they surely don't switch everyday, if we're playing a custom or training about 3 or 4 of my friends will switch to another account if they want to play matchmaking on lower levels, that's the only thing, people don't CONTINUOUSLY switch accounts.

And I love Halo2 along with so many other people, but I find it SO FREAKIN INSANELY WEIRD how Halo2 can be the number 1 live played game when I've read SOOOOO MANY (extremely high in numbers, like it's unexplainable) PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT HALO AND JUST HATE HATE HATE, ALL THEY DO IS TALK ABOUT HOW CRAPPY THE GAME IS, when in all reality it's one of the best games ever made.

Maybe if they stopped complained and went to go play other Xbox Live video games then they could beat Halo2 off the list, hahaha.

to the guy with the multiple accounts theory.. that is kind of stupid.. i mean who would buy more then one account anyways? just no point... i dont know anyone with more then one live account... and even if htey did why wouldnt they just use hte first one on the list?

Only thing imo that is holding Halo 2 back from true greatness is that it tries to be too simple. Searching for games on Xbox Live is hardly a challenge, and is MUCH easier that sorting through the numerous servers you'll find in any PC game. If I could search up a deathmatch game, no shields, any map and have Live give me a list of servers hosting this, then imo Halo 2 would be byfar the greatest game ever made.

Bethesda is constantly introducing new content for Oblivion, which is just great, but they should put out a patch to fix all the major bugs and minor problems like killing a store owner and years later no one takes over the store.

Halo 2 is by far the best FPS out right now. Despite what you all may think PDZ does blow real hard. BF2MC is a horrible game if only for the fact that EZ no longer produces 'games', they pump out piles of crap that rake in cash because of the casual gamers and thier ignorance of what a good game is. Halo 2 will stay at the top until the devs realize that the matchmaking system that H2 uses is THE best. If GRAW had the bungie matchmaking system it would easily be at the top.

Maybe Halo 2 is still just the best game out there, but no, no one could think of that. Lol that multiple accounts theory is the funniest thing I've herd in a while. Halo 2 simply has the best multiplayer set up, combined with the fact that it's an insanely fun and addicting game.

I don't understand why people feel so compelled to pick on Halo 2. It's not a "sad day for gaming" or any of that other nonsense; in fact, it just shows that if a game can help a wider variety of people playing at all, people should be happy that the gaming community is expanding. FFXI, Oblivion, Ghost Recon, etc. are also very good games and concordantly attract varying types of gamers as they appeal to different demographics. So I suggest that some commentors focus more attention on the games they do like and support rather than acting so caustic towards ones they don't.

I think that BF:MC for the xbox 360 will do better in the next list. It's released now for like 4 weeks or less(in europe).

Yeah, Halo 2 is the top game because it's the most fun. Oblivion is fun, but nowhere near as visceral and addictive. PDZ blows... face it.

As more people purchase an Xbox 360 console and discover new game experiences, Halo 2 should eventually be placed at #2..... under Gears of War! ;)

Interesting to see FFXI at number 6. Seeing how old that game is and that most people with subscriptions are already playing it on a PC or PS2, I wouldn't have guessed it would sell all that well. I wonder if all those people are new subs or people just looking for a better experience.

Anyhow, I hope this means we will be seeing more FF games down the road since IMO that is one of the biggest things Xbox lacks.
