Nitsuj: problem solved, assuming your pc can handle the transcoding, and then your limited to only serving one 360 at a time, and of course the video quality drops everytim eyou transcode. There's also the fact that transcoding limits the resolution you can use. It really is just a cheap workaround, and not a real solution.

StupidMistake, Dixv isn't disabled on the 360, WMV and MPG/MPG2 are the only formats enabled. Since the Xbox 360 does the decoding of the video files it has to have a codec for every file type it supports. Since MPG/MPG2 is licenced for DVD playback and MS owns WMV those codecs are included. Any other codec would require an additional licensing fee to include on the Xbox 360 increasing the per unit cost.

Just use one of the Divx/Xvid transcoders to playback those files types on the Xbox 360, problem solved.

I think the only problem with the gamescore thing at the moment is arcade game demos shows up. I dont own the game and so it shouldnt show up on my gamercard.

A request for future dashboard updates... upconverting DVD video. We've got the DVD player, we've got the HD capability, we've got the hardware... how about some 720p or 1080i DVD video? :)
