Major - I understand your pain about impatient and unreasonable users who don't seem to understand the software development lifecycle. I do find it particularly humorous (LOL) considering I experienced this same problem during the 5+ yrs I been working with MS (as a customer). My advice is to get used to it, that is the nature of this business.

Major! Thanks for your honesty man, I am sorry you felt that way about the show today. I agree that we gaming "divas" can get cranky pretty easy... Anyhow, whenever that update is available things will be OK and different, and it will take as long as it needs to take; I understand that. And I give you full support for you blogcast and blog. Keep up the good work Nelson!

I just called 18004myxbox and they said the update will be out tomaroo! And kudos to you if you found out my secret message! Some guy in the forums on xbox.com is rambling about this i'm 99.9% sure its false but could there be a slight possibility, Major this is where you take the stage.

Hey Major, Great Show! Has anyone pointed out the Windows Media Center & Media Center Extender feature of the 360? I get questions all the time from friends about how it works and what it can pull from my media center PC. I mean you basically get a Next Gen system that does both jobs for the price of an extender & an original Xbox! As I'm not a expert from Microsoft, I run through everything and they seem to be very interested. If you have already covered it, then good on ya. If you haven't it would be cool to bring someone in from that group and maybe talk about it and what is coming up with the Vista intigration and maybe what folks that get a chance to be on the beta test could experience.

Hi Major, thanks for the show. I guessed you would have trouble in preparing for this one, but you did the right thing in making it. Hey, no worries that we have to wait a few more days. I think that you made such a big deal out of it with your guest on your last show, plus the fact that Major Nelson never talks about rumours only facts, lead everyone to believe that it was only 3 days (tops) away. GTHD looks like B-U-T-T Are they even trying? Buggie car looks like fun, but...I guess the only thing they could do to make the game fun is adding the ability to run people over.

RCMaster, Major can't answer any of those questions but maybe I can sort of. All those features u mentioned at the beginning can like the bigger harddrive, motion controller. They might in the future release a xbox 360 extreme bundle that has like buit in HD-DVD, wifi and huge harddrive but this won't happen for like the next 2 to 3 years because of the cost. Microsoft just like every other company won't announce future pricing plans or sku until maybe a week before it happens. One thing they would NEVER do is mess around with the xbox 360 specs and lets say boast the ram or clock speed. Specs stay the same but everything else can change as the cost of the hardware decreases

hey major, when you next get the hardware and/or periferal guy(s) on the show can you ask them some things for me? namely: 1. What happened to the 40GB harddrive which was pictured before launch with the 360? 2. Is is 'possible' theoretically, for the 360 to have its own gyroscopic controller like the Wii? or even a substitute like the PS3 controller? 3. Could i, in say Rainbow Six: Vegas, move my hands like the marine commanders do in real life, in front of the Vision camera and it would recognise those movements, even if my hands were over my body? 4. Will all those cool faceplates shown pre-launch ever be released? 5. In ep 176 you mentioned that the new update will be put on the xbox 360s internal flash drive space so, it won't take up any of your harddrive space. How much internal flash memory does the 360 have? and, approx, how long will this be enough for updates before it starts flowing over on to the harddrive? 6. Aside from the controller and wireless headset, what other periferals could 'theoretically' connect to the Xbox 360 over the wireless connection? Could the camera? Or is the other possible connections a surprise? 7. Will you ever release a quieter, cooler xbox 360 with built-in wireless networking and HD-DVD drive? Or would that go against your philosophy and/or do you feel that would fragment the user-base? Would such an addition as a HD-DVD drive draw too many comparisons with the PS3 and undermine your flexibility with regards to add-ons like the external HD-DVD drive? 8. Are you going to release a new 360 bundle at the PS3 or Wii launch? Like, maybe, the same price as a premium bundle but with an 80GB harddrive? If you could ask any of those that would be great! :D thanks Major, for all your work so far.

Hey major you dont have to dread doing a show iam glad you did a show i think this podcast will calm a lot of people down and anyone who listens to your podcast knows that your quite honest and when you have some info that you can share with us you usally post it up right away so thanks for doing a show even though some people were acting crazy and just plain stupid last week .
