I actually figured out my bug. The stupid power adapter got loose. I played the demo.

Its pretty good to me so far.

VGA cable problem

I heard that it was a bug with the 360 settings, in that it makes it think it won't work even though it will or something like that.

Halo 2 works fine with a VGA cable, but you need to download the update and all that (maps etc) while connected to a TV (normally, i.e. scart/component/S-video). Then connect it back to the VGA cable and it works perfectly.

I have the same issue as Hooded1 although I'm using the HD cable so no demo for me.

I've got the same problem with the VGA cable - I expect to have this problem with emulation of Xbox games like Halo 2, but with a new 360 game?

I was really looking forward to playing this and probably going out and buying it, but I won't be risking it if it's not going to work with an official MS VGA cable. Developers should be making games for all 360 users - some of us don't have HD tellys, but do have decent monitors. Really bad form.

Something is really wrong with Top Spin 2. When I play, it freezes in the court after a little while... what is wrong here, corrupted demos? This is my first demo freeze.

its all well and good bringing us new demos but this generation supposed to be about expansion and never ending games, where are all the extra GRAW mpas single and multiplayer. and would it be possible to have a truely next gen game come out before ps3, where the walls can be blown apart with mechine guns etc (like black). this generation is currently a let down to what i hoped to experiance. saying that tho i love my 360 its just i expected more from it now not in a years time.

i must of seen the download just momeny after it came out.

as i downloaded it last night it downloaded nice and quickly and i live in australia.. like major said the internet here sucks lol, all live downloads aint that quick, but top spin came down at an alright pace =D

Mark mentioned the motion capture interfering with the smoothness of the game. This is not what is happening. This game is dependent on your timing and when you get used to it you will realize what is really happening. If you time your pressing of the shot button wrong it will "commit" you to the shot and screw you up. This is crucial because the longer you hold the shot button the harder you hit the ball .. so getting the timing right is a big part of the game. After you have played a bit it comes natural and you don't run into any such problems at all.

I was playing Halo 2 last night and Xbox Live kicked me offline and I had to reset my router in order for it to work again. I havent really ever had this problem before.

Doesnt work for me, everytime it loads it says "does not work with 50hz, set your console to 60hz"

I use an official MS VGA cable so it makes no bloody difference...ffs.

Ya cant change the setting on that!!!

Sort it out!
